Heritage Institute of Management and Communication Placement Process and Placement Cell

The Institute's placement cell is really quite active and influential, holding frequent lectures, pre-placement sessions, and campus interviews. Dedicated staffs of experienced trainers advise students on how to qualify for every stage of the placement process with ease.

HIMCOM has the benefit of being able to use HIMCOM News' television studios. Students are educated to produce News Bulletins, Panel Discussions, Interviews, and a variety of other programmes in both the virtual and real studios. In addition to rigorous Ad-libbing instruction, they are trained to read Teleprompters, which are crucial qualities of an Anchor.

To become an anchor, practising at home is fine, but practising in a real TV studio is critical because you will experience the real pressure of newscasting, as well as technical compulsions such as camera, lights, teleprompter, sound, PCR cues, reading speed, body language, and overall presentation. HIMCOM News' TV Anchors individually coach our students in genuine TV studios and assist them in overcoming any difficulties.

The Institute has had an excellent track record with placements so far, and the actions below will help us get the most out of our placement efforts:

An annual curriculum review is done to ensure that the needs of the industry are met. In order to stay up with external developments in the sector, continuous feedback on instruction from profit and non-profit media houses is required. To stay relevant, a quarterly idea exchange programme is implemented. Fieldwork, which is an integral aspect of each course, provides students with a wealth of practical experience. Annual curriculum review is made to ensure that the Institute is on par with the best use of IT resources to keep the Institute's knowledge base up-to-date and enhanced.

The HIMCOM placement cell serves as a link between media head-hunters and its students. The Institution has a large industry network that allows us to place our students in their selected fields. Many TV stations, production companies, newspapers, magazines, and websites come to the campus to interview students.

Heritage Institute of Management and Communication Summer Internship Placements

Every session, the Institute organizes an intellectual and practical educational vacation (excursion) for current media hopefuls to gain exposure. HIMCOM produces three documentaries each year. At least two are made in Delhi and one outside of Delhi to boost students' knowledge and abilities while taking into account regional differences.

The paradigm is so self-sufficient that students are not required to participate in an internship programme, despite the fact that internships offer numerous benefits to students.

It manifests the ability to "try out" a career before committing to it full-time. They bring opportunities to network with people in the business, which may lead to several career prospects; exposure to the field's work culture and etiquette; the acquisition of new skills and knowledge gaining a "real world" perspective on the occupation.

To apply whatever you learned in class to a real-world situation, internships provided by the Institution provide you with an advantage when looking for jobs. Some internship leads to full-time employment with the company.

Heritage Institute of Management & Communication, powered by HIMCOM News fosters skills of reporting where they learn how to handle interviews, piece to camera (PTC), and one-to-one with different personalities and dignitaries of distinguishing fields. It nurtures students with all significant reporting skills and makes them aware of all activities ENG (Electronic News Gathering).
