Established in 1996, Madhu Bala Institute of Communication and Electronic Media is the oldest and one of the most renowned institutes in India for journalism and mass communication. The institute is an initiative registered under the Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860.
Popularly known as MBICEM, the institute offers the most popular, dynamic and comprehensive journalism course i.e Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Mass Communication BA (JMC). The journalism college is affiliated to Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU). Since its inception, MBICEM has been conducting both short and long duration programs in all the major fields of Journalism & Mass Communication including Print, Radio, Television, Photo Journalism, Computer Graphics, Event Management, Advertising, Public Relations, Direction, Production, Lighting, Camera, Video Editing.
It is equipped with a library that has a good collection of more than 8000 books, 7 online journals, 11 international journals. In addition, it also offers a well-equipped video editing lab with the latest editing software like Premiere Pro, After Effect, AVID and Edius. MBICEM's Audio Studio, Photography Lab, Video Conferencing and a News Room set up ensure a distinctive professional journalism experience to its students.
