IIIT Allahabad Campus Facilities - Hostel Fees, Infrastructure, Address

Indian Institute of Information Technology is situated in between the two most famous rivers in India, viz. The Ganges and the Yamuna. The Jhalwa campus of the Indian Institute of Information Technology loaded with facilities and infrastructure to help the student get the most of their educational stay in the campus. The institute boasts of using the Penrose Geometry as the architectural structure for all the buildings situated in the campus. The campus is a large area of land covered in luscious greenery and beautiful structures all around. 

The campus has three computer centres with several labs, electronic library, lecture halls, and a residential campus. There are many other facilities that will be coming up in the future and are in the developmental state. 

The NSC Complex of Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad hosts five laboratories, five lecture halls, eight computer labs, a conference hall along with other facilities like the library, auditorium, office space, etc. The campus of IIIT Allahabad also boasts of a 50,000 sq. ft of open space which is used for parking, lawns and various sports activities in the campus. 

The lecture halls in the campus are pentagonal in shape that can seat a total of 100 students. There are other rooms like the multimedia labs, tutorial rooms, faculty rooms, meeting rooms as well as language labs at the campus. The campus also has an electronic library that can cater to students with connectivity to the latest technological material. There are a total of 140 systems that are distributed all over two floors. 

There is a central zone within the Penrose design of the campus where facilities like the electronic library, administrative building, lecture theatre complex, and research facilities, etc are found. The arms of the central zone host the classrooms and the faculty rooms as well. There is a sports complex that can seat a total of 500, which is situated within the campus itself. Indian Institute of Information Technology Allahabad boasts that the facilities that are provided by them can last the Institute and its students for the next decade

Accomodation at IIITA :

Boys Hostel

The Boys Hostel Campus consisting of BH1, BH2, BH3 and BH4, situated across the road from the main campus, is a vibrant place allotted to the present students and research scholars of the campus. With a residential capacity exceeding 800 and a new hostel BH5 coming up and soon to be operational, the boys hostel campus is the perfect place to be at peace and rest or to put in more of one’s strength and energy when not involved elsewhere in some other pursuit of life which may not include academics.

The centrally air conditioned mess in each of the hostels fulfill the dining requirements of the students and also ensure that the students are able to dine with ease and comfort.

Recreational facilities include provision for sports such as Volley ball, Badminton, Table tennis etcetera and are complimented with gymnasium, common TV rooms. These facilities provide for sufficient avenues for students to relax and decompress from the demanding academic activities.

Girls Hostel

IIIT Allahabad provides hostel facility with a homely environment to the lady scholars of the institute. It consists of three hostels GH1, GH2, GH3 constituting separate air conditioned mess and gym facilities with 24hrs guidance of caretakers.

For the all round development, the students can access the facility of basketball court, badminton court. Wardens visit the hostel regularly to monitor and ensure the proper functioning of the hostels and the comfort of the students. Major discussions and activities among the students can be carried out in the common room. Timings are strictly adhered to for the incoming and outgoing of the students for their safety. Regular attendance is taken by the caretaker. Ample green cover all around the residential area provides a visually appealing and healthy environment for the residents. Different festivals and cultural events are celebrated together within the hostel campus in a very friendly and homely atmosphere.

Night canteens within the boys and girls hostel premises facilitate the dietary requirements of the students after the normal dining hours – especially when the students are busy burning the midnight oil.

Vision is to nurture minds towards creativity and steer their talents towards high quality research in different areas of information technology. We have our state of the art facility to learn complex concepts of Artificial intelligence(AI). Robita is the official Robotics club of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad. The club is presently housed in the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory of the Institute. Beyond the classroom, our students get plenty of opportunities to put their passions and talents into action. Robita provides the students to do the same. Robotics is the branch of technology that deals with the design, construction, operation and application of robots and computer systems for their control, sensory feedback, and information processing. These technologies deal with automated machines that can take the place of humans, in hazardous or manufacturing processes, or simply just resemble humans.

Synergy of thought, symphony of movement, artisitic expression and a sense of idyllic beauty - this symbolizes the ushma of the dance club. It is one of the most active club of IIIT-A. Starting from freshers, it manages dance performances in Effervescence and other club events. The club has performed various dance forms .

The IIITA music club which is a showcase of the musical talent of the institute. The club apart from having a college band has been successful in putting up wonderful performances and also being helpful in letting the student bite the music bug. The club attends various concerts and musicals during the year. 

The dramatics club at IIIT, RangTarangani is responsible for organizing workshops (acting as well as scriptwriting) and holding drama competitions where young talent can be showcased. The club has been active in staging excellent performances both in hindi and english at various occasions. 

The IIITA Sports club brings to you the spirit of life, the spirit of competition, the spirit to win, the spirit to participate and ultimately prove the one within you. We have the energy, the courage and the enthusiasm to bring to you the most lively sports events of IIITA. It's events like Gully Cricket, Street Football etc. are most interesting dusing fest.

Organizes debates, extempores and other literary competitions. It is also responsible for publishing IMHO (in english) and Swacchanda (in hindi), two magazines for in-campus circulation. SARASVA is the place to take halt and unveil your talent of appreciating the beauty of expression. 

Stambh, as it is called is the Pillar of all the extra curricular activities of Indian Institute of Information Technology, Allahabad.The club has been doing its best every year to bring out the best potential out of the student fraternity.It manages all the college events including the college fest Effervescence.
