Overall: The Indian institute of Technology ( Banaras Hindu University), Varanasi commonly known as IITBHU is one of the prestigious institutions in India. .
Placement: Strong placement record. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum. Top companies like google microsoft sprinklr hilab thoughtspot etc came to hire. But because of recession although the number of offers and the number of companies visiting our college drastically fell this year the institute still set its benchmark .
Infrastructure: IIT BHU is located inside the BHU campus. The buildings are magnificent and beautiful. The campus is very huge and green. Every department has a building of its own and all these buildings are distributed throughout the campus. Since the campus and the buildings are a little old the lecture halls, labs and hostels have fewer amenities. But the campus itself has a rich cultural heritage hence it has its own uniqueness and vibe to it. Many might not like it at first but eventually everybody falls in love with the campus and they find it so hard to leave it when they graduate.
Faculty: The academic curriculum is stress free. Getting good grades is easy. The course structure is also good. We get to spend most of our time on other things that we are passionate about. The faculty is patient and cooperative. All professors are highly educated and have done immense research in their field.
Hostel: Many boy’s hostels are old and girl’s hostels are relatively better. Very little maintenance of the hostel. At first it feels uncomfortable but eventually we will all get used to it. The mess food is good. The social life here is vibrant with many events and clubs. Many inter hostel sports competitions are also conducted. Overall the hostel life is good
Overall: Coming up, the exam's execution and outcomes I'm not sure if there is another university in the country that releases results more than three to five months before the test. Additionally, certain results are marked as Incomplete, and in other cases at the college to university level, marks for some topics are not posted, leaving students to suffer through the full year. Visiting the faculty, The so-called assistant professors are nothing more than graduates of the institution where you are now enrolled, and they will advise you on how to pass the GATE, IES, and other top exams even though they were unable to pass those same exams themselves. All they do is enter the classroom with notes from the previous year and recite them while standing at the podium. My piece of advice would be to only enrol in the private UPTU (AKTU) colleges, particularly those in the Noida area, in the worst-case situation. Instead of getting burned at UPTU, it is better to earn a B.sc. from DU, BHU, etc. Things won't be good for AKTU in the future, I can assure you of that, as 326 institutions have already been closed, and more are scheduled to do so, according to the most recent report.
