The Institute offers merit-cum-means scholarship to 25% of undergraduate students. Several other scholarships are announced from time to time. Bank loans are also easily available whenever required. Financial help is provided as Institute free studentship and scholarships to undergraduate students belonging to the scheduled castes and scheduled tribes.

Students admitted to the 2-year M.Sc. degree in sciences are also awarded merit-cum-means scholarships. A number of scholarships, teaching / research assistantship schemes provide financial support to students of M.Tech. and Ph.D. programmes. Sponsored (full-time as well as part-time), self-financing foreign students and M.B.A. students are , however, not eligible for benefits of this scheme. Students are encouraged to earn while they learn.

Prizes and certificates are given to students on the basis of their performance in curricular, co-curricular and extra curricular activities.

James Thomason Scholarship	Students with All India Rank up to 300. The best-ranked student joining in each department provided his/her All India Rank is within 500.	The James Thomason Scholarship will provide Rs. 25000/- per month for his/her complete program subject to securing a minimum of 8.00 CGPA in each academic year.
SC/ ST/ PH Scholarship	Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ PH category are eligible for this scheme.	The SC/ST/PH students shall get full Tuition fee to waive off
Air Cmdr Shyam Chand Mehra Scholarship	Awarded to a girl student of B.Tech 1st and 2nd year for obtaining highest CGPA in B.Tech Electrical Engineering	Rs. 10,000 Per Annum
Air Cmdr Shyam Chand Mehra Scholarship	Awarded to a girl student of B.Tech 4th year for obtaining highest CGPA in B.Tech Electrical Engineering	Rs. 15,000 Per Annum
Om Prakash Gupta and Sushila Devi Memorial Scholarship	Awarded to a girl student of B.Tech. 1st year obtaining highest marks/grade in mathematics in final examination.	Rs. 10,000 Per Annum
Prof. Dr. S.R. Gupta Memorial Scholarship	Awarded to a student of B.Tech (Mechanical Engineering) Weaker Section whose CGPA & Income as per Institute rule applicable for MCM scholarship and no involvement in acts of Indiscipline	Rs. 25,000
Jai Prakash Seva Sansthan Scholarship	The scholarship is offered to B.Tech Civil Engineering students (only selected candidates)	Rs. 2000 per month (applicable for 10 months)
Naveen & Anu Jain Scholarship	The scholarship is offered to a B.Tech student whose parent’s annual income is less than Rs. 2 lakh.	Rs. 1,000 per month (applicable for 10 months)
1940 batch Alumni Scholarship	Awarded to a student of B.Tech (Civil Engineering) I year, based on highest rank in JEE admitted at the institute in B.Tech Civil 1st year	Rs. 1,000 per month (applicable for 10 months)

Now lets see how good LPU is for an MBA from various parameters which are as follows: Curriculum: The curriculum of MBA at LPU is very Industry oriented. There is a term CDR (Curriculum Development Research) held after each and every 6 months in which many senior industry people suggest that what are need of present day industry. Faculty knows all the strengths and weaknesses of students are noted and course correction is devised after the considerable suggestions of Industry tycoons. Thus LPU cares what to teach according to the demand of industry, so that all the students can be able to cop up the outer word after qualifying from LPU. Entrepreneurship: Entrepreneurship does mot means opens a shop and making money from money. In LPU, students come up with the unique idea of business and in fact LPU provides them seed money also for their start-up. Since the inception of Entrepreneurship ventures, LPU has witnessed more than 300 start-ups.
