IIT Tirupati Scholarships 2025 - Details, Eligibility, Amount

In IIT Tirupati, the scholarship is provided to B.Tech and PhD scholars for encouraging their academic excellence. The types of scholarships that are offered by IIT Tirupati for B.Tech students are:

• Merit-cum-Means Scholarship
• SC/ST Scholarship

For Merit-cum-Means Scholarship, candidates whose family income is less than Rs 4.5 Lakhs can apply and such candidates are exempted from the payment of tuition fees. For SC/ST scholarship, candidates can get a discount in mess charges up to Rs 8,000 per semester and will get free lodging and Rs 250 per month as a pocket allowance.

For Half-Time Teaching/Research Assistantship (HTRA), full-time scholars are eligible. However for this, the selected candidates must work (teaching/research) for 8 hours per week and candidates can also apply for scholarships like UGC/CSIR-JRF, AICTE, ICMR etc. However, the amount of fellowship is decided as per the norms of the funding institution.
