To be eligible for JNIT B.Tech admissions, the candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent examination. The pass percentage for the general category candidates is 45% whereas for SC/ST/OBC candidates it is 40% marks. One of the other important factors of JNIT eligibility criteria is the age limit. Only those candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 01, 1989 are eligible. However, in the case of Scheduled Caste(SC), Scheduled Tribe(ST) and Person with Disability (PwD) candidates, the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, i.e. SC, ST and PwD candidates who were born on or after October 01, 1984 are eligible. Date of birth as recorded in the Secondary Education mark sheet/certificate only will be considered authentic.
