At KCG College of Technology the students are endowed with all convenient amenities that make their life 'go easy' in college hours, alongside make learning more interesting. Some of the facilities include well ventilated classrooms, recreational areas, hostel facility for boys and girls, indoor and outdoor games, stocked library, seamless internet/wifi connectivity, medical facilities etc.
The College has a rich unit of NCC (Army) the beginning i.e. its inception in 2009. The NCC has the wing of Infantry, of which is extremely popular in the College. It is from Madras Group ‘A’, 1 Tamilnadu Battalion NCC
To develop character, comradeship, discipline, leadership, secular outlook, spirit of adventure and the ideals of selfless service amongst the youth of the Country; create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth and finally to provide a suitable environment to motivate the youth to take up a career in the Armed Forces.
The motto of NCC is “Unity and Discipline”. ‘Unity’ implies our basic oneness, the brotherhood of all the Indian people regardless of their caste, colour or creed. Likewise, ‘Discipline’ is the very bedrock on which any nation is founded.
The Infantry Wing has been provided with an office and a store room for the administrative purposes. It is also provided with a suitable Parade ground for the parade to happen. Periodically, some of the Cadets are selected to undergo the adventurous and rigorous military training in attachment with regular Army training Centers, rock climbing, mountaineering camps, trekking camps, army attachment camps, national integration camps etc., The Cadet regularly take part in the Inter-Collegiate NCC competitions. Many of these aim to make it to be officers and soldiers in the Army.
Does your feet move to rhythms? Find your place in the Dance Club to bring out the inner dancer in you. The training provided by the club will improve your dancing skills and also give the members to participate in dance competitions.
Do you tackle all the questions that people shoot at you? The quiz club caters to students who live by the dictum that little knowledge is dangerous. The club channelizes your desire for knowledge in general, technical, social, economic, cultural and political affairs which in turn boosts confidence.
Have you ever wanted to have a robot as your friend? The KCG eYantra Robotics Lab trains students in Embedded Systems and Micro-Controller Programming by engaging the members in a project based learning mode, to help make robots.
The NSS Unit was started in our college in the year 2004. Since then it has been a vibrant and active unit. National Service Scheme (NSS) of KCG has been rendering yeoman service to the society. NSS has been functioning as a regular feature in the realm of our university education. The overall objective of the scheme is educational and service to the community. It is a student–centered programme in which projects are implemented by the NSS volunteers in the community in close collaboration with the clientele community and thereby it provides vast scope for the students’ interaction with the people.
While interacting with the community the students learn many things which they cannot learn from theory classes. The NSS scheme is aimed at developing the overall personality of the students in such a way so that the students emerge as responsible individuals encompassing the virtues of life . NSS volunteers are an asset to the society. Students through the NSS activities are engaged in actual work not only within the university campus but also their services extend to neighboring schools and colleges. The aim of NSS is to develop a sense of service, team spirit and dignity of labour. The various programmes conducted by the NSS have brought about a remarkable change in their outlook and their attitude towards life and society.
NSS Unit and various department of KCG College of Technology conducted the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan Programme on 12.07.16 at campus . The programme was inaugurated by the Principal and students & staff actively participated in swacch campus program to clean up the campus premises and surroundings.
NSS Unit of KCG College of Technology, Karapakkam, Chennai Organized Blood Donation Camp in association with Y’s Men Club of Mylapore and Lions Club of Golden Bharath on 05.08.2016 in the College Campus. The programme was inaugurated by the Principal Dr.G.Prabhakaran , KCG College of Technology. Totally 181 Units of Blood were Collected from the Student and Staff of the College.

NSS Special Camp was Organized for 07 days from 15.0.17 to 21.03.17 at Perungudi Village Panchayat School. There are 50 NSS Volunteers from college were attended in the Special Camp. In addition to that, 200 students from Perungudi Panchayat schools were helped the volunteers. The following activities were conducted during this Camp.
NSS and YRC Unit of KCG College of Technology conducted the International Day of Yoga Programme on 21.06.15 at campus in Mother Teresa Block at 6.00 AM. The programme was inaugurated by the Principal. The yoga masters taught various yoga positions to the staffs and students of the college.

The programme was inaugurated by the Principal and chief guest . The chief guest for this programme is Mr.S.Venkatraj , Inspector of Police Traffic, Thoraipakkam , Chennai. Chief Guest talk to advised all of them to follow the traffic rules as well to take safety precautions while driving vehicles, especially two wheelers should wear the helmets while driving.

Chennai saw its worst ever rainfall in 100 years, the city and its suburbs were pounded with heavy rainfall. 1000’s were stranded and needed help. KCG College of Technology under the guidance of the CEO& Director of KCG College of Technology, a team of KCGians actively involved themselves in the relief activity, The Principal, Vice Principal, HODs, staff and students participated in the process of sourcing, packing and distributing the relief material to the needy.

Tree plantation programme was conducted by the KCG College of Technology NSS and YRC on 03-03-2016. The programme was inaugurated by the Vice-Principal Dr.Sumathi Poobal at 10.00 am. NSS volunteer have planted about 75 sampling trees in our campus.

The man-made eye to capture the beauty around, is the lens of a camera. The Photography Club helps the interested students to improve their photography skills. The club organizes seminars on photography. The club members are also encouraged to take part in contests.
Do you code your dream? Programming Club provides resources and knowledge to help the members to pursue their interest in Computer Programming either as a profession or a hobby. Activities of the club involve Web Development, Open source, Game/App Developments and Programming. The club motivates its members to attend both Intra and Inter Programming and Coding Contests.
Service above self in action! Rotary club is a service, leadership and community service organization for young men and women between the ages 18–30.Rotaract focuses on the development of young adults as leaders in their communities and workplaces.
The objectives of the Toastmasters club are to improve members’ oral expression of thought, to develop their confidence and ability to speak in public, to promote the habit of analytical listening, to assist each other through constructive evaluation, to develop their capacity for leadership, to promote good fellowship among men and women, to advance mutual understanding through more effective communication, and to foster and encourage “Better Listening, Thinking and Speaking”.
A fit body leads to a fit mind. The Fitness Club offers its members use of the college gym, where students can work out. The club also offers cycling opportunities and yoga classes.
Dreamt of riding with the wind? The Horse Riding Club trains its members to ride a horse under the supervision of a trainer. It is a great way of becoming physically fit.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is maintained well and good the class infrastructure structure are Well cleaned and neatly maintained the blocks in the college are divided into three and overall all infrastructure is good
Hostel: In the Kcg college of technology the hostel is above average and the hostel food aren’t also very good it is also above average for the students The warden was strict to the students and they need to gate pass for going out form the college hostel

Infrastructure: Classrooms are well maintained and smart classes are available. Lots of books are available in library especially for an aerospace and aeronautical engineering the foreign author books are available
Hostel: Hostel food is very worst need to improve the building condition of hostel is very worst in rainy season rain water flooded in 3rd floor because the building quality was poor
Infrastructure: Nice infrastructure students are free to use every part of the college.they have more labs and seminars halls for students development. Robotics lab also available in our campus
Hostel: Here hotel not good we don't have proper cupboard tables and beds to sleep also...the hostel food is also not good people should prepare to come and eat the worst food ever
