Candidates can apply for admissions at Kings Engineering College online or offline by getting the application form on payment of Rs.500 by DD drawn in favour of Kings Engineering College, payable at Chennai. Candidates can also pay cash. To apply through TNEA, candidates need to visit the official website of TNEA (www.tneaonline.in) to complete the registration. After opening the website, they will have to click on 'New User Registration'. They will have to fill in all the relevant details and click on 'Submit'. Once all the details have been submitted, candidates will get an OTP through SMS on their mobile, and will also get an email. After entering the OTP, the candidate's details will be confirmed. Then, they will have to log in on the TNEA website by using their login credentials. The registration form for TNEA will be displayed in which the candidates will have to enter all the details, click on 'Save and Proceed'. They will then have to pay the application fee and once that is paid, they will get a confirmation message. After that, they will have to fill in some more details pertaining to their education and finally submit the application.
The selection process is done through government quota as well as management quota. Government quota selection for BE and B.Tech is done through the TNEA admission process and the allotment of seats will be done on the basis of merit. Under management quota, direct admission will be given to the students.
To pursue M.E from Kings Engineering College, candidates should have passed all the subjects in the recognised bachelor's degree or its equivalent with at least 50% (45% in the case of reserved categories) in the qualifying exam as per the AICTE norms.
