Kurukshetra University (KUK) is a public state autonomous university established in 1956. The university's foundation stone was laid by the late Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the first President of India. It is accredited by the NAAC with an “A++” grade. Furthermore, the university is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU).
