The Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology admissions are subject to certain selection criteria that the students must meet in order to be eligible for admission. The key facts and credentials about the LIET admission criteria are given below:

  • 12th Class -

For admission to the engineering programmes, the student must have qualified for the Class 12  exams in the last three years. In some cases, after clearing this, an exam held at the Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology will grant a seat in the seats for the courses.

  • Graduation Marks -

Candidates who have passed the graduate level degree such as Bachelors in Computer Application from a recognised university with the minimum marks or grades will qualify for the PG degree like Masters in Computer Application. 

  • Other Methods -

The candidates must meet the qualifying cut-off of marks under some criterion and then will have to sit for a written exam at the school and join a group discussion and sit for an interview to qualify. This includes qualifying for the JEE Mains and UPSEE examinations.

To ease the formalities and paperwork of admissions to various courses, the LIET admission portal on the website is designed in a user-accessible and easy way. The students have to fill out the application form on the website to join the list of students to be screened and counselled.  Before applying for any of the courses listed on the website, the student must read all the information carefully given on the website, this includes minimum eligibility, guidelines for filling the form, the required scans and photographs, and details of the applicant. The student will be required to submit scanned copies of educational qualification degrees, and identity proofs,  fill out forms asking for details and pay the application fee. 

Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology Application Criteria

Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology courses have specific requirements to be fulfilled.

Eligibility requirements - All applicants applying must have a valid and recognised Class 12 with required marks and within the dates of years which qualify to move the application ahead.

Interview - There will be an interview for which a slot will be scheduled. After meeting eligibility requirements you will be required to sit for an interview at the school premises.

Submission of fee and documents - If you clear the interview you will be asked to pay the required fee, after deductions, tax and any scholarship awarded to the institution and submit all the necessary and asked documents by the school.

Admission by UPSEE counselling 2024/ JEE score - Admission to the various courses when an allotment letter is issued by UPSEE in favour of the college for finalisation of admission is to be done as follows-

  1. As per the allotment letter, the applicant must report to the college by the date which is provided in the letter.
  2. Original documents have to be brought when going to school for counselling. 
  3. Two photocopy sets have to be brought to the college on that day.
  4. Fee will be paid only by Demand Draft in favour of the Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology payable at NCR. 
  5. Rest of the remaining formalities will be completed at the college premises itself.

Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology Application Procedure

The Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology admissions begin around Spring or January-February. The students have to approach the helpdesk at the college or call for the session details. 

The candidate must follow the given steps for the Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology application process:

  • Candidates must apply to the courses by visiting the official website www.liet.in
  • Candidates have to fill out the relevant application form by clicking on the top tab on Admissions-Admission Process-Application Form
  • This will download the form for admission application in a PDF file
  • The students must have Windows installed with Adobe Acrobat Reader updated to the current version to open the form
  • Then, the candidates may either print this form and fill and submit it for beginning the process with an application fee or
  • Open Google Documents and upload the PDF file
  • Then open the file and on the top centre there will be Third-Party apps like DocHub or LuminHub, open the PDF with one of these apps on Google Documents after signing up for them.
  • Then click edit and fill the PDF online and submit it to the college by email after calling the Support phones.
  • You can pay the application fee to the college account by UPI or in-person with the form at the reception.
  • After getting the UPSEE counselling letter, or sitting for the exam, the students have to sit for group discussion and interview where applicable
  • After being cleared in screening, the students have to confirm their seat, by paying the relevant course fee, in instalments, by education loan or as advised by the college.
  • There is a scholarship which can be availed by meritorious students

Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology Admission Process

After submitting the application form, the details to take admission are given below -

  • Once the application fee is paid, there is admission counselling, entrance examination, interview and group discussion for various courses for admission.
  • The candidate has to bring the UPSEE letter of allotment for LIET admissionsand seek counselling to be admitted to the various engineering courses
  • He or she has to bring two sets of copies of documents and on successful counselling, has to submit the documents and pay the fee by Demand Draft to Lloyds Institute of Engineering and Technology.
  • For the LIET MCA course, valid certificates have to be presented, and after due examination, admission fees may be allowed to be paid, based on merit, seats available.
  • For the LIET MBA course, the valid certificates allow one to sit for a group discussion and on clearing that, the interview has to be cleared. Once screening is successful, the fee has to be paid.
  • It is advised to print a hard copy of the application form and application fee for reference before being admitted to the college.
  • The entrance exam for engineering courses UPSEE counselling is notified on the website and can be enquired from the website reception numbers. Or an email may be sent by the college notifying the same. The students must seek the information themselves.
  • The exam will be offline, at the centre premises and all details for the paper will be in the entrance exam information sheet on the paper.
  • Students must obtain a valid and successful score to be admitted for the courses.
  • To better avail the examination -
    • Students must reach the examination centre on time or before it
    • They must carry the stationary required
    • They must carry proof of application and identity cards issued by the government of India where required
    • They must be well read on the syllabus, previous year question papers and pattern of exam
  • Based on the candidate’s performance of the exam, the rank is declared. The ranks are uploaded on the university website. If the rank meets the criterion for the course then the student can take admission to the university. The scores on the admission exam are the eligibility test and are based on merit.
  •  The eligibility for MBA is based on scores in BBA and then if they qualify the cut-offs, then a group discussion is taken at the school, after that if the applicant qualifies then an interview round takes place. 
  • The eligibility for MCA  is the scores for cut-offs in BCA, and or a test may be conducted at the school for entrance. That score is used for merit and entrance is provided accordingly.
  • To sit for these tests an additional fee of Rs 1,000 is paid to the school.

Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology B.Tech Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must check the LIET B.Tech eligibility criteria before applying for admission to the programme. The points mentioned below explain all the eligibility conditions for LIET B.Tech admissions 

The candidate must have completed Class 12 from a recognised board of education.

  • It is mandatory for the candidate to have obtained his/ her 10+2 level degree either in 2020 or 2021. 
  • The student must be an Indian citizen.
  • A minimum aggregate score of 60% is required in Class 12 in four subjects, namely, physics, mathematics, English, and any one subject out of chemistry, biology, and technical vocational subjects.
  • If the student seeks admission to the co-op programme, he/s he must have a minimum aggregate score of 75% in four subjects - physics, mathematics, English and any one subject out of chemistry, biology, and technical vocational subjects OR a minimum percentile of 60 in JEE (Main).

LIET B.Tech Selection Process 

The selection of students for B.Tech at LIET is done in two methods. They are

  • Admission Through JEE Main Score/ UPCET Counselling:

The candidates who have appeared for JEE Main or UPSEE and have a valid score can get admission through this category. They will have to report to the college with their scorecards or allotment letter issued by UPSEE in favour of LIET.

  • Direct Admissions:

Candidates who have not appeared for JEE Main or UPSEE can apply for admission under this category. They will have to visit the official website and register, after which they will be informed about the test/ interview that will be conducted by LIET.

Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology offers a four year long B.Tech CSE programme. It is affiliated to AKTU and is approved by AICTE. The programme is full time and the curriculum is completely industry oriented. The curriculum was curated to incorporate academic collaborations with the major IT leaders worldwide to provide learning on digital technologies. The CSE department uses a project-based learning methodology. The average package offered to the students is around Rs 5 to 6 LPA. The course fee at Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology for B.Tech CSE in AI and ML is Rs 1,51,000 for the first year. For the 2nd, 3rd, and, 4th year, the fee is Rs 1,35,000 for each year. Further, the Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology fees for the hostel for the AC Rooms is Rs 1,50,000 for the single-seater, Rs 1,25,000 for the double-seater, and, Rs 1,10,000 for the triple-seater. The fee structure for diploma courses after Class 10 at Lloyd Institute of Engineering and Technology is Rs 52,500. Whereas, the total fee for three years diploma programmes is Rs 1,57,500. Some of the diploma courses are Diploma in Computer Engineering, Diploma in Mechanical Engineering etc.
