Co-Op (Cooperative Education) may be a programme that balances classroom theory with periods of practical, hands-on experience before graduation. The LIET Corporate Resource Cell (CRC) is there as a friend, philosopher, and trainer. It guides students in choosing the proper course or specialisation, orientation, arranging internships/industrial training and eventually getting them placed in top-notch organisations. To expand the professional horizon of the scholars the cell invites Guest Lectures by eminent speakers from the industry. The placement cell is additionally engaged in organising various academic activities like workshops, seminars and conferences with a vision to deliver knowledge about the newest trends and technology.
The common LIET recruiters are Reliance, Decathlon, Cognizant, Xero Degrees, Infosys, Bajaj, Paisa Bazaar, Micromax, Merril, etc. While the highest package touches Rs 9 lakh per annum, the LIET average package ranges between Rs 5 to 6 lakh per annum.
The placement policy of the LIET placements cell is to offer students personal and career-related support. It aims to impart a specific specialisation in training students in employability skills and ultimately placing them in various industries/organisations through campus recruiting efforts.
The students graduating should register on the portal within the given deadline. Students furnishing false information will be debarred from participating in placement activities.
It is entirely the responsibility of students to see emails/announcements/notices/updates etc. from the student coordinators/placement cells to take a seat for the registered company’s PPT.
Once a student receives a suggestion from any company, he/she is taken into account as placed regardless of the student’s acceptance or rejection of the offer. Students who have got an offer from a company are allowed to choose a dream company by notifying the placement cell immediately after getting their first offer.
If a student accepts the pre-placement offer of companies, then only the dream option is going to be available, which a student can avail of for only one company.
