Overall: Our college provided excellent placements in the previous year. One of the best engineering colleges in Kerala. It is one of the top engineering colleges in Kerala.

Placement: Based on the statistics, the majority of students are being placed in the IT field and computer-related positions. While other companies also hire students, the number of placements is significantly lower. Last year, there were over 600 job offers, which I consider to be a commendable figure. However, I must admit that I am not well-informed about the college hostel as I do not reside there.

Infrastructure: Moreover, the infrastructure is highly commendable. The campus, although spacious, strikes a perfect balance between size and accessibility. Additionally, we are fortunate to have a well-equipped central library where you can access a plethora of textbooks. Furthermore, each department also has its own library, providing students with ample resources for their academic pursuits.

Hostel: The hostel offers gym facilities and stores, along with washing machines and refrigerators for inmates' use. Wardens and faculty members also reside in the hostel premises, ensuring constant supervision. There is 24 hour security.

So that was what we call a college life

Overall: Do expect big while going to this college and be assured to meet them all at the path. My four years in this college was worth and I would suggest everyone of you not to think twice before stepping in. It has a lot to offer whatever you think, may be academics, or is it the best carrier or the best unforgettable memory. So I’m rating it 11 on 10.

Placement: The college do have a good percentage to put up as of the total placed students. But one thing to mention is that the number of students who gets in to a job that needs what he studied brings down the percentage. There is almost 100 placement core branch placement in CS, not less than 75% in EEE, EC and only about 50% core placement for ME and CE. By core placement I mean a student who studied ME and got placed in a mechanical based firm and not an IT company. These percentage adds another 15 to 25 in each branch once you count the IT and non engineering jobs like finance and service providers. Altougether you are almost assured to get a job but has to reach in front if you want the luxury of choosing the kind of job you do.

Infrastructure: Talking about what the college provides, you are welcomed with well furnished classrooms some of them even are smart ones with projectors and speakers. And the library, great one..you can always find the one which you like to refer to from indeed the best author. Other than the main library, there is also a department library for each of the department so you can make sure you miss a book. Then the labs, as I’m from mechanical engineering branch I’ll comment on mechanical labs. The labs are good, it does meets the purpose, but it’s not the best one which you can see because most of them are atleast a 10 year old and the technology keeps changing every minute. But surely the whole purpose is to study the basics because it doesn’t do any good to learn operating a CNC machine without actually working on a conventional lathe. But be assured you does learn a lot of stuffs, unlike many other colleges which makes you group and do project on lathe, here each one of you gets a separate machine to work upon and so is the case with every machine in the lab. Not to forget mentioning about the measurements lab which is entirely out of the league. And as of my knowledge the labs are almost similar for every departments with good exposure. Also the computer labs are filled with the best one in market with mostly i5 processors, so don’t worry. Then hostels are also of the best type with good quality food. You also get sports kits to polish your talents.

Faculty: Being a professor or assistant prof in a professional college is not a small thing and so sub the teachers you see here. You are always free to discuss anything at anytime with any of them, which I can say at my own experience. Be assured that your doubts will get cleared and they will open room to create more doubts..that is all it is about. All of them are highly qualified and they also undergoes regular valuations, not that they are made to write exams, the feedback from us the students are frequently collected and they just keep on improving. In the labs too you can find the faculties with sound knowledge of the machines there and their operations.

Hostel: Let me start with mentioning the thing that a new block which was opened recently and I havnt even seen the inside of the block. So I’ll comment more on where I was staying during my period of studies. You are provided with all the basic needs like electricity and drinking water in the hostel. There is water purifiers and coolers also which adds up points. Then they provide you with wifi facility and backup power in case of current failure. So you don’t get a chance to complain. Also separate mess are present for each blocks providing good quality and quantity of food at reasonable price. Also you have shuttle court inside the hostel and other indoor games like table tennis chess etc. A separate reading room is present and you get most of the known newspapers too. A TV is also present in each block. Thus it provides you with good atmosphere to study as well as to stay connected and updated.

Overall: I had been a hosteller and had never felt away from the home once I came through the first 2 3 months. You can find a lot of supportive staffs and the best in class service from the college which made me call this my second home. If you’re looking for a good college life where you can enjoy your studies and your life don’t step back. There had been always a spot for this college in the list of top 5 govt colleges in Kerala and also still holds a good placement record. Also the events hosted in the college like sanskriti (annual arts fest) and takshak (national level tech feat) is sure to make you love your home.
