Madhuben & Bhanubhai Patel Institute of Technology (MBIT) is the first engineering college exclusively for girls across Gujarat and it is also the first college to implement ‘a need-of-the-day course’ such as Information and Communication Technology (ICT). MBIT was set up in 2009 by Charutar Vidya Mandal and it is self-financing, non-autonomous college which has the approval of AICTE and is affiliated to Gujarat Technical University, Ahmedabad. MBIT aims at equipping a generation of young and competent engineers with technical skills. The college focuses on a lot of other activities apart from academics for the all round development of students. It has a software club, virtual club and open source technologies club and also encourages students to be a part of the National Cadet Corps (NCC) and NSS. MBIT is known for its library which has a collection of 12005 volumes and has a seating capacity of 100 students. A unique reprographic facility is also available at the library.
