The Library Works For 5 Days In A Week Monday Through Friday 8.30 A.M To 6.30 P.M.

The Computerised Indexing Of Books Is Practised. A Dedicated Pc System Is Provided At The Library And The System Can Be Used By The Students To Locate The Books. There Are Nearly 28283 Books And 40 Technical Magazines Being Subscribed. Book Bank Contains About 4000 Books. Lending Of Books Are Done Against Library Cards Issued To The Students And Staff.

Objective:

• To enable students converse fluently
• To develop the four skills LSRW (Listening, Speaking, Reading & Writing) and use them effectively.
• To facilitate students acquire proper listening & Speaking Skills.
• The English club aims to develop all the four fundamental skills that are given due importance with the view of making students gain maximum knowledge and also develop their communication Skills.

The students will be provided with different activities like puzzles, Spell bee, crossword Puzzles, Extempore, Just a Minute, conversational Practice, Seminars, role play, Group Discussion, Description.

The activities would enable them to sharpen their cognitive and analytical skills and also improve their proficiency in English and understanding of the similarities and differences between English and their Mother tongue. 

This club encourages students to create own Electronic gadgets and kits related to their acquired training skils

Activities

• "Mini Project on Bread Board" competition was conducted on 13.02.2015 at Digital Club for Electronics Hobby Club Members.
• 15 mini projects were displayed, out of which the following 3 were awarded prizes during CREATE 2015.

Objective

To buildup stress free healthy and happy student life by improving the focus, streamlining the breath through Yoga.

Activities

• Basic Yoga programme for club members, for all students and staff
• Yoga competition for schools, departments and colleges.

Objective

• To create awareness of Robotics to all staffs and students of Murugappa Polytechnic College.
• To setup the Robotics lab using Multiple Robots and Accessories.
• To train the students by “Learn by doing” concept basis. To solve the real life problem with given Robotics trainer kit and implementing their knowledge.
• To motivate and guide the students to participate in e-Yantra students competition 2014 at IIT Bombay.
• To motivate and guide the students for doing the final year project work using Robotics trainer kit.
• To motivate and guide the students to participate in CII seminar, workshop and conference.
• To motivate and guide the students to participate in state level, National and Inter-national level Robotics competitions.
• To bring the confidence of the students and expose them to know about Robotics and implementing the project using Embedded ‘C’ Programming.

Activities:

Photography club was inaugurated on 26th January 2015 by our Principal.  The club aims to engage in various students activities that challenge their imaginative lapabilities, assist is sharpening their photographic skills, and present an opportunity to learn from each others. Eighty eight students have registered in the club.

• To promote international and intercultural exchange and cooperation in the cultural sphere.
• To pay particular attention for the rights of students on cultural programmes.
