What’s Next after NIFT Entrance Exam?

What after NIFT entrance exam? What are the further stages involved in the NIFT selection process? When should I prepare for the NIFT Situation Test or GDPI rounds? If you are bothered by such questions, you are not alone. Many NIFT test takers are confused about the same question. Following the NIFT written exam, there will be a 1:4 shortlisting process, meaning that four students will be shortlisted for each seat and will subsequently appear for Stage II of the NIFT exam. The Stage I of the NIFT 2024 entrance exam has been successfully concluded on February 5, 2024. As per the conducting body, the second phase will tentatively take place between the first week of May and the third week of April. NIFT Seat Matrix 2024: Seat Allotment, Seat Reservation

The NIFT seat matrix 2024 is available in a downloadable PDF format at nift.ac.in, the official website of the National Institute of Fashion Technology. As of 2024, there are 5,289 total NIFT seats available for design courses, up from 5,215 in 2023. These include 4,394 All-India seats, 473 NRI, and 424 state domiciles. There are 652 UG seats available in the BFTech course as opposed to 3,399 seats in the BDes course. The NIFT exam 2024 was administered on February 5, 2024, across 32 affiliated testing facilities in India. Based on the results of the GAT, CAT, GD/PI, or Situation test (if applicable), candidates will be assigned respective seats.

You cannot pursue a fashion design course from NIFT, Delhi unless you have completed at least class 12th! You can go for online design courses to strengthen your aptitude and skills. It would help you develop a basic knowledge of Photoshop, Illustrator and CAD.

You can also complete your high school and then go for a diploma or certificate course in Fashion Design! Colleges such as Parul University, Gujarat, Vogue Institute of Art and Design (VIAD), Bangalore, LISAA School of Design (LISAA), Bangalore and ARCH College of Design & Business, Jaipur offer some top-notch short-term fashion design courses.

Dear Student,

No such discount on fee is available for the disabled candidate in NIFT, Delhi, however, you can avail the SARTHAK scholarship offered by the institute. If your parental income is up to Rs. 1.5 Lakhs per annum, you get a 100% fee waiver. If it lies between Rs. 1.5 Lakhs to Rs. 2.5 Lakhs, students will be awarded 75% fee waiver. Also, if the income of the parent is between 2.5 Lakhs to Rs. 4.0 Lakhs, 50% fee concession is offered.
