NSHM Knowledge Campus, Durgapur Admission 2024

NSHM Durgapur admissions are offered to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses. B.Tech candidates are shortlisted on the basis of their performance in WBJEE. The results have been released and the qualified candidates will be eligible for the counselling process, which will begin in July 2024 (tentative). The JENPAS UG 2024 exam, which is for admission to nursing, paramedical, and allied sciences courses, is set for June 30, 2024. Students can download their admit cards starting June 20.

Bachelor in Technology:

• The selection for the B. Tech program is based on the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) and the 12th board examination results. The criteria are usually 45% aggregate for the Open category and 40% for the reserved categories.
• Students will have to go via the counselling procedure in order to get the allotment letter and get selected for the Bachelor in Technology course at the NSHM Durgapur Durgapur.

Lateral Entry (B. Tech):

• Lateral entry is admission into the 2nd year of the engineering course directly as the eligible students are from the diploma-polytechnic background who already have completed a 3-year course instead of 2 years. Those students’ selection will be based on the JELET entrance test.

Bachelor in Science:

• The selection is based on the marks obtained in the 10+2 examinations and the prouder applicable is via direct admissions only. Counselling is not applicable to the admissions in the Bachelor in Science programs regardless of the streams.
•  However, E-NPAT (NSHM Personality and Aptitude Test) is conducted for all the admissions into the campus if any external competitive examinations are not attempted or required as per the eligibility criteria.

Bachelor in Computer Applications:

• This is a 3-year long program that teaches all the aspects of software and application development.
• The selection procedure is depending on the 12th board examination results. Students need to score good aggregate in the 12th and apply for the E-NPAT to be able to secure admission in the Bachelor in Computer Application course at NSHM Durgapur Durgapur.

Bachelor of Hotel Management & Catering Technology:

• The selection is done on the basis of WBJEE JEHOM which is the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination for Hospitality Management.
• However, students also have to secure at least 45% in their 12th exams from a recognized board in India in parallel to the entrance examination.

Master in Business Administration:

• The selection procedure for the MBA program is a little bit tougher than the rest of the programs and requires students to attempt and score CAT Score – 50, MAT Score – 60, XAT Score – 50, CMAT Score – 60, JEMAT Score – 60 and achieve 50% in the Graduation program and 60% in their 12th exams from a recognized board in India.
•  If the above exams are not attempted then the selection procedure involves a mandatory appearance for the NPAT examination followed by a Personal Interview round, Group Discussion activity and Submission of a 500 Word Statement of Purpose to clarify why one is interested in this particular program.

Bachelor in Optometry:

• A four-year program that selects students based on the 10+2 board examination results and the internal entrance test conducted by the NSHM Durgapur Durgapur.
• The internal assessments could include other rounds of interviews before the final approval is provided.

Bachelor in Business Administration:

• The selection procedure is depending on the 12th board examination results.
• Students need to score good aggregate in the 12th and apply for the E-NPAT to be able to secure admission in the Bachelor in Business Administration course at the NSHM Durgapur Durgapur.

Master in Science:

• A 2-year long course that is mostly pursued after the Bachelor in Science program to further deepen the existing knowledge in the core subjects.
• The selection for this program is done on the basis of the graduation degree and the internal assessment procedures designed by the NSHM Durgapur Durgapur.

Master in Hospital Administration:

• This is a postgraduation course that is of 2 years long and teaches all the aspects of hospital services, support services and general management of the hospital protocols.
• The selection is done as per the graduation aggregate score obtained and a valid rank in the MAT/WBJEMAT common entrance examinations.

Master in Optometry:

• It is mandatory for students to have B. Optometry degree to get selected in this master’s course.
• The opportunities offered are Clinical optometrist in private practice, Orthoptist, Designing and manufacturing of contact lenses, and spectacles.

NSHM Durgapur application process for admission to various UG and PG courses has been explained step-by-step below. Candidates can follow the application process given below if they are interested in enrolling at the institute.

• Visit the official website.
• Enter the first name, middle name and last name as per the Aadhaar records
• Fill in the mobile number without any prefix
• Enter the Email address (The official communication will happen via this email)
• Now, update the State and the City as per the permanent address records.
• In this step candidate has to fill in the Campus and education level details
• Next, select the specific program one wants to enrol in.
• Tick-mark the declaration box and click the Apply Now button to complete the application.

Once the application is submitted, students need to verify their mobile number and then fill out a small form requiring more details. Once done, a PDF will be available to download that will contain all the details about the procedure. Next is to upload the documents and pay the application fee.
