The Panjab University, Chandigarh never fails to inspire. Naturally, for the benefit of its PU-CET Scorepils, the university has got its Central Placement Cell that looks after the successful job placements of its candidate from training to the offer-letter stage. The cell contains distinguished academicians of the university, faculty, and alumni members that cater to PUCHD placement networking. The centralized placement event at the Panjab University Chandigarh is named AVSAR.

The Central Placement Cell looks after the training of its candidates through written tests, group discussion, H.R. rounds, soft skills, and personality development that form a key feature in the PUCHD placement program. Apart from that, the cell organizes webinars, seminars, presentations, and short training to enhance one's diction to crack the interview rounds of the companies.

• 97% placement in 2017 whereas, in 2016, the hiring percentage was 96.7%.

• The average package offered in 2016-17 was Rs 7.6 lakh per annum while last year it was Rs 8.2 lakh per annum.

University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET)

• 320 out of 425 students got placed.

• 75% of the students at UIET got placed.

• Rs. 8.4 lakh p.a. was the highest salary, in 2016 it was Rs. 12 lakh that was rolled out by Jugnoo.

• The placement percentage of the institute dropped from 78.9%.
