Bachelor's degree (of not less than 3 years duration), or equivalent, in any discipline from a recognized university.

Passed (10+3) Full time Diploma examination recognized by All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government or its equivalent examination and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate (at least 45% marks in aggregate in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) with Mathematics as compulsory subject;
Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Children of Indian Workers in the Gulf Countries, Foreign National

Candidate should have passed Full time Diploma examination (10+3) recognized by All India Council for Technical Education or Central or State Government or its equivalent examination and obtained at least 50% marks in aggregate;OR

The student must have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate Examination (Std. XII) conducted by the Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune
The candidate should have passed 10+2 relevant stream with a recognized board.
A candidate for being eligible for admission to the degree course in Bachelor of Mass Media shall have passed XIIth Std. Examination of Maharashtra Board of Higher Secondary Education or its equivalent from the Science, Arts or Commerce Stream.
No college shall conduct any entrance test in any form and the admissions are purely based on merit duly following the reservation policy as per the norms of Government of Maharashtra. While drawing the merit list, weightage has to be given to students from Arts, Commerce and Science Stream at 12th Standard level. The stream wise weightage to be given is as under :

The applications are to be accepted and processed by the colleges stream wise separately and the merit list is to be displayed stream wise taking into account the reservation policy prescribed by Government of Maharashtra.
a. The merit list is to be prepared and displayed stream wise.
b. In case if no application is received from any stream, the vacant seats are to be distributed equally between the two streams only.
c. After the first merit list is displayed, if any seat allotted to one stream remains vacant, the same shall be distributed equally between the remaining two streams. In case of vacancy in one stream is of single/odd number of seats, the single seat is to be allotted to the Arts Stream. In case if no application is available from the two streams, then all the vacant seats of such two streams must be transferred to the third stream.
Step (c) be repeated for the subsequent merit lists till all the forms are exhausted or the final merit list is displayed, whichever is earlier.
The candidate should have passed 10+2 relevant stream with recognized board.

For Maharashtra State Board Candidates - Candidate should be an Indian National and should have passed the SSC (Std.X) examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent, with subjects Maths / Mathematics (71), General Science (72) and English, with minimum 35% aggregate marks are only eligible for admission.
B. For ICSE Candidates -
a. Student seeking admission on the basis of Group 1 and Group 2 subjects only, the aggregate marks shall be the grand total of marks in any of the 5 subjects from Group 1 and Group 2 where he / she has scored maximum marks.
b. Student seeking admission on the basis of Group 1, Group 2 and Group 3, aggregate marks shall be the grand total of all subjects from all groups.
C. For CBSE Candidates - The aggregate mark means the grand total of marks obtained by the candidate, including all subjects as declared on Mark sheet.
Eligibility for Direct Second Year Diploma in Engineering :
Candidate should be Indian National domiciled in Maharashtra fulfilling the conditions prescribed in rule and must have passed HSC Science or HSC (Bifocal / Technical) or HSC (Vocational / MCVC) Examination of Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education or SSC with 2 years duration ITI / ITI COE with 3 modules with appropriate specialization or its equivalent.
Admission of any Candidate made at the Institution shall be provisional subject to the final Eligibility Certification from the concerned Board / MSBTE / University and final approval given by the DTE or authority authorized by it.
Seats available for admission process to be carried out under these rules. 20% seats of the sanctioned intake of first year of course are available as over and above the sanctioned intake in all the Polytechnics / institutes in state for direct admission to the Second Year / Third Semester of Post SSC full Time Diploma Courses out of which seats prescribed below along with other vacant seats shall be available for admission under CAP.
