PUCHD placement 2023, observed students from Panjab University UIET (BTech and MTech) receiving the highest and average compensation packages of Rs 45 LPA and Rs 8.89 LPA, respectively. Furthermore, 383 offers were made during the PU UIET placements in 2023. Leading corporations such as Amazon, Dabur and American Express were among the top recruiters during Panjab University placements in 2023. The highest and average salary packages offered to the MBA and M.Com students of at Panjab University UBS Chandigarh were Rs 58.48 LPA and Rs 13.7 LPA respectively. 105 students have received offers so far during Panjab University UBS Chandigarh placements 2023 of 115 who participated.

The Panjab University, Chandigarh never fails to inspire. Naturally, for the benefit of its PU-CET Scorepils, the university has got its Central Placement Cell that looks after the successful job placements of its candidate from training to the offer-letter stage. The cell contains distinguished academicians of the university, faculty, and alumni members that cater to PUCHD placement networking. The centralized placement event at the Panjab University Chandigarh is named AVSAR.

The Central Placement Cell looks after the training of its candidates through written tests, group discussion, H.R. rounds, soft skills, and personality development that form a key feature in the PUCHD placement program. Apart from that, the cell organizes webinars, seminars, presentations, and short training to enhance one's diction to crack the interview rounds of the companies.

Apart from those aforesaid, the Central Placement Cell also takes the task of inviting PU-CET Scored companies to the university in the form of placement drives and face-to-face induction. The various sectors that participate in the campus-CET Scores-drives include; I.T., Biotechnology, CSE, ECE, ME, H.R., Food and FMCG, Seed Companies, Finance Sectors, and Insurance Sectors. The PU-CET Scored companies on both international and national levels usually send their requirements to the placement division officer of the Central Placement Cell or vice-versa and the entire process of training for placement until the completion of placement begins from April of each calendar year.

University Business School (UBS)

• 97% placement in 2017 whereas, in 2016, the hiring percentage was 96.7%.

• The highest package was Rs. 15 lakh offered by Religare Finvest. In 2016, the highest salary was Rs. 21 lakh.

• The average package offered in 2016-17 was Rs 7.6 lakh per annum while last year it was Rs 8.2 lakh per annum.

University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET)

• 320 out of 425 students got placed.

• 75% of the students at UIET got placed.

• Rs. 8.4 lakh p.a. was the highest salary, in 2016 it was Rs. 12 lakh that was rolled out by Jugnoo.

• The placement percentage of the institute dropped from 78.9%.

• Average package in 2017 was Rs. 4.9 lakh p.a. Which earlier in 2016, was Rs. 5.2 lakh p.a.

University Institute of Chemical Engineering and Technology (UICET)

• 63% hiring was recorded at the institute i.e. 85 out of 135 students. In 2016, UICET had recorded 76.9% placement.

• The highest package was Rs. 8 lakh per rolled out by UOP Honeywell whereas Rs. 5.3 lakh p.a. was the average salary recorded by the institute.

Department of Computer Science and Applications

• 83% of the students got placed in 2017 and the highest package offered was Rs. 4.8 lakh p.a.

• In 2016, the placement percentage was 72.2% and Rs. 4.5 lakh was the highest package offered.

• The average salary package offered in 2017 was Rs 3.2 lakh p.a.

University Institute of Hotel and Tourism Management (UIHTM)

• UIHTM has recorded 59.5% placement.

• Highest package offered was Rs. 2.1 lakh

• The average package was Rs. 1.8 lakh.

• Although the average package has improved, there has been a drop in hiring percentage. The institute had recorded 100% placements last year.

University Institute of Applied Management Sciences (UIAMS)

• The highest package was Rs. 6.8 lakh, whereas, in 2016, it was Rs. 7.2 lakh.

• A total of 98 students of the institutes got placed this year.
