Presidency University Selection Criteria for UG Courses

It is imperative for the candidates to apply for UG admissions through the official website of Presidency University.

Selection Based on Entrance Exam

• Candidates must pass the respective entrance exams required for admission to different UG courses. Candidates qualifying for the entrance exams will be given the admission offer.
• For B.Tech., selection will be based on Comed-K, CET, and JEE Main scores.
• For B.Des., selection will be based on the scores obtained in any National or State level entrance examination, like UCEED or NIFT. The institute also conducts its own entrance exam, known as the Presidency University Design Entrance Test or PUDET. 
• For LLB, selection will be based on CLAT/ LSAT/ PULAT scores. Apart from this, Class 10th Marksheet must also be attached.
• Seat Confirmation: Shortlisted candidates are required to pay the first semester fees for their respective courses to confirm their seats.
• Reservation and Relaxation: 4% of the seats will be reserved for Category I students. The reservation percentages for Category II (A), Category II (B), Category III (A), Category III (B) are 15%, 4%, 4%, and 5%, respectively. Additionally, 15% of the seats will be allotted to Scheduled Castes and 3% to Scheduled Tribes.

For Presidency University admissions to PG courses, candidates have to apply through the official website of Presidency University.

Selection Based on Entrance Exam

• For M.Tech, selection will be based on Karnataka PGCET or GATE.
• For LLM, selection will be based on CLAT/ LSAT/ PULAT scores.
• For MBA, selection will be based on CAT/ XAT/ MAT/ Karnataka PGCET/ CMAT/ ATMA/ KMAT Karnataka scores. Work experience is also considered while providing admission to MBA courses. 
• Apart from this, Class 12th Marksheet must also be attached.
• Counselling Round: An oral extempore and Personal Interview process will be conducted for candidates qualifying the entrance exams.
• Seat Confirmation: Candidates qualifying the entrance exams and fulfilling the eligibility criteria must pay the first semester fees for their respective courses to confirm their seats.

Reservation and Relaxation:

Step 3: Start filling out the application form online by entering details like name, email address, mobile number, state, city, course etc.

Step 4: Upload the required documents like Class 10 Mark Sheet (in case of UG admission), 10+2 Mark Sheet (in case of PG admission), Entrance Exam Score Card, Transfer Certificate, Migration Certificate (For Non-Karnataka students), and five passport-size photographs.

Step 5: Finally, pay the registration fee of INR 554 for both UG and PG programmes.
