The Regional Institute of Paramedical Technology (RIPT) Assam offers admission into various undergraduate, postgraduate and diploma programmes in the field of paramedical technology. Admission in RIPT Assam courses is offered on the basis of the merit of the candidates. Each programme has its own set of eligibility criteria that has to be fulfilled in order to get admission to the Regional Institute of Paramedical Technology Assam. There is also a minimum and maximum age limit criteria that have been laid down by the institute. For admission into the GNM programme of Regional Institute of Paramedical Technology (RIPT) Assam, the candidates have to be between the age of 17 and 25 years. For B.Pharm/D.Pharm admission, the minimum permissible age limit is 17 years on 01st August of the year of admission. For BPT/B.Sc MLT/DPT/DMLT, the permissible age limit is between 18 and 25 years on 01st January of the year of admission.

10+2 qualified candidates (Or equivalent) from any institution affiliated to any recognised Board are eligible for the diploma programmes of RIPT Assam provided they have secured a minimum aggregate of 45% in the qualifying examination. The eligibility criteria also state that the candidates must be physically fit to withstand the rigours of the training period.
To be eligible for the B.Sc programme offered at Regional Institute of Paramedical Technology (RIPT) Assam, the candidates must have a minimum qualification of 10+2 from a recognised Board in science stream. The candidates must have obtained a minimum overall aggregate of 45% in their respective qualifying level exams as well. It is also important that the candidates are medically fit to bear the rigours of the training period.
To be eligible for the Regional Institute of Paramedical Technology (RIPT) Assam BPT programme, the candidates must -
Be 10+2 qualified from a recognised Board
Have studied the Science stream at the 10+2 level
Have secured at least 45% aggregate in their previous qualifying exam
Be medically fit
Candidates with a BPT degree from a recognised University/Institution with a minimum overall aggregate of 50% along with a 6-month internship from a recognised University are eligible to apply.

Only those candidates are eligible for the ANM programme of Regional Institute of Paramedical Technology (RIPT) Assam who have completed their 10+2 education from a recognised Board.
Science stream candidates (PCM/PCB) who have completed their class XIIth education from a recognised Board with a minimum aggregate of 45% or more are eligible for the B.Pharm/D.Pharm programme of Regional Institute of Paramedical Technology (RIPT) Assam.
Selection into the aforementioned programme offered at Regional Institute of Paramedical Technology (RIPT) Assam is done on the basis of merit, i.e based on the qualifying exam marks obtained by the candidates.
Science stream candidates (PCM/PCB) who have completed their class XIIth education from a recognised Board with a minimum aggregate of 45% or more are eligible for the B.Pharm/D.Pharm programme of Regional Institute of Paramedical Technology (RIPT) Assam.
