The institute holds several seminars and workshops, to provide students with proper training and to make sure they get an idea about how the industry functions. On May 5, 2023, the Department of Electrical Engineering at RIT Roorkee hosted a workshop on "Solar PV Power Generation", covering topics such as common solar applications, fundamentals of electricity, testing circuits with multimeters, and wiring PV circuits, etc. The session also gave students the chance to investigate the electrical and physical properties of PV equipment and discover how to combine solar panels, charge controllers, and batteries. The workshop attracted a sizable audience and was open to all Electrical Engineering students. Every participant understood and successfully connected a modest solar system. Mr Ashok Kumar, Mrs Shikha Saini, and Dr Ajay Kumar Maurya (HOD EE) were present at the session.
