IIT Placements 2024-25 Day 1 to 3: Major Highlights

• On Day 1, IIT Kharagpur garnered over 800 job offers including pre-placement offers (PPO’s).
• At IIT Kharagpur, the maximum annual package jumped to Rs 2.14 crore, while 9 students got above Rs 1 crore.
• IIT Kharagpur also had several major recruiters such as Apple, Google, Intel, Microsoft, and Capital One recruiting for software and analytics roles.
• The interviews were done hybrid, combining in-person and virtual interaction to be convenient.
• IT Mahadras registered a record Rs 4.3 crore package set by Jane Street for approvals which is the new term for placements.
• Other packages worth over Rs 2 crore from firms like BlackRock and Glean at IIT Madras were equally crucial.
• Prestigious companies such as Bajaj Auto, Goldman Sachs and Qualcomm were at IIT Madras on Day 1
• As of today, the average package at IIT Madras is around Rs 22 lakh per annum (LPA)
• Day 1 at IIT Kanpur saw 579 job offers made but only 523 positions filled through campus placements and PPOs
• Students from IIT Kanpur bagged a total of 13 international roles reflecting the global demand for their skills
• Among the companies recruiting at IIT Kanpur were Microsoft, Google and Texas Instruments.
• According to the overall response from recruiters across all IITs, the job market is recovering strongly after previous concerns.

JEE Main Admit Card 2025: The JEE Main 2025 admit card will be released by the National Testing Agency 3 days before the exam day. Therefore, candidates willing to appear for the JEE Main 2025 exam can expect that the authorities will release the JEE Main admit card 2025 on January 19, 2025 for Session 1 exam and on March 31, 2025 for the Session 2 exam. In order to download the JEE Main 2025 admit card, candidates have to login using their credentials, like the JEE Main application number, date of birth, and security pin.
The admit card of JEE Main will comprise of important details pertaining to the JEE Main 2025 like the name of the candidate, father’s name, roll number, date and shift of the exam, venue of the JEE Main exam, signature and photograph of the candidate as uploaded and important instructions. Students who will be appearing for the exam must make sure to carry the printed copy (preferably coloured printout) of the JEE Main 2025 Admit Card on the day of the exam. In case any student forgets to carry the hard copy of the admit card, then he/she will not be allowed to appear for the exam.

Tips to Minimize WBJEE Negative Marking: The WBJEE 2025 exam will have negative markings for the wrong answers as per the WBJEE exam pattern. WBJEE is an offline examination that is conducted in the subject of Maths, Physics, and Chemistry. BITS HD Exam Dates 2025: The authorities will release the official dates for the BITS HD 2025 exam soon. Applicants need to be aware of the important dates to not skip any events for the exam. Here we have curated the dates based on the 2024 BITS HD dates. The BITS HD exam is expected to be held anytime between 20-25 May. The application form filling window is likely to begin from March 7, 2025 and the last date to fill out the application form will be April 24, 2025 (tentatively). Applicants will also get the chance to make corrections in their application form during the BITS HD 2025 application form correction window which opens by the end of April 2025 tentatively.
