Sandip University is one of the reputed private universities in India. The University has been recognized and ranked 2nd and 3rd by the TIMES Engineering Survey for two various categories. So far, the institute has not yet participated in NIRF rankings. As the varsity claims to provide quality education and rending top-notch academic facilities, it may be ranked in NIRF for the upcoming year.
Sandip University offers around 130 courses. Over 200+ professors compose a diverse faculty team at Sandip University. Professors are experienced and from IITs and NITS. Students believe that professors are excellent and guide and encourage them in all aspects.
According to the students, the professors at Sandip University are very strict and they are good as long as students are good and abide by rules. However, there have been instances of professors unwilling to help students with their attendance issues.
Sandip University has a diverse student community that consists of 4901. The batch size of each course that is offered at Sandip University differs from course to course but it is quite huge as there are around only 200 faculty members. The batch size and faculty ratio is not appropriate. This makes it very challenging for professors to impart the knowledge, and to have one-to-one focus.
Our Take
Due to the huge batch size in some of the courses, perhaps the learning process is hampered. Consistent support from professors and the faculty-student ratio must be sorted out.
Classrooms:
Classrooms at Sandip University are spacious and well-maintained. All the classrooms are well equipped. Each classroom can accommodate easily 50 to 60 students.

The quality of the food provided by these hostels is quite good if the reviews of the students are to be believed. Based on the requirement, sometimes the 3-seater room is shared by 4 students as per the decision of management.

Our Take:
Sandip University must increase the number of hostels for girls, as there are only two hostels for them. Since there are limited seats, students are allotted hostel seats based on the order of their application (First come- First Serve). Some of the students are of the opinion that the hostel fee is high. According to the former students’ reviews, sometimes a 3-seater hostel room is given for 4 students and they had to adjust in spite of paying the full amount of the fee. The university must arrange enough hostel rooms for boys as well as girls to curb this problem.
Placement
Sandip University claims to have a 100% placement assistance record. However, actual numbers differ from what is being said. Our Take:
Sandip University can perhaps increase the within-state strength as it is less than 25%. The statistics also show that around 80% of students studying are either from other states or from foreign countries, which can be considered a good sign of representation. Since the total percentage of girl at Sandip University is 41 which is a good percentage, still the institution can encourage and increase their percentage.
Sandip University is located in Nashik, Maharashtra. Students can reach out to the university by road or rail. The university is approximately 15 KM away from Nashik City. The closest rail station is Nashik Road Which is around 24 KM away. From both places, one can reach the university by local city bus, auto, or cab.
Sandip University is one of the private universities in Maharashtra and offers numerous opportunities for candidates for personal and academic growth. The institution has 80% of candidates, hailing from different states of India, as well as other countries. The university must work to improve the diverse student’ community by inviting students from within the state and increase the percentage of Maharashtra from 20.
According to the students, the hostel fee is high, and rooms are limited. Having 80% of its strength from outside the state and country, Sandip University perhaps look into this issue and try to increase the number of hostels for boys and girls based on the ratio. The male-to-female ratio at the university is 59: 41. The institution should try to improve the female graduates’ strength by taking the necessary steps. Besides improving placement percentage every year for the same courses, perhaps the university must help the students of the courses to take part in the placement drives.
