Srinidhi Institute of Science And Technology Hostel & Fees Structure

A good institution always strives to transform the students into a knowledgeable and worthy citizen. To accomplish this, good learning environment is very essential. A hostel is truly a home away from home. Students of different types hailing from different regions stay together, representing various traditions, cultures, talents, etc. The hostel gives vast scope for respecting differences of opinions, builds up a healthy union of minds and unites the hearts. The hostel life offers plenty of opportunities for growing, individually and collectively. During the stay in the hostel, the student learns to grow more loveable and capable.

Besides learning good qualities and habits from others, the student realizes that he/she can also serve as a role model to others. Some of the traits in a cultured person are: remaining simple, humble, honest, open and truthful. Hostel life provides plenty of occasions to grow in all these traits. The hostel environment itself teaches the student to be generous and magnanimous and to excel in such virtues.

Hence the need of good hostel accommodation near the campus is essential. Besides, the staying place too, is required to have academic environment for study for longer duration and to prevent the students from day to day disturbances and hour to hour distraction. Hence, Sreenidhi Institute of Science and Technology provides high standards of accommodation and top hostel facilities for students (both boys and girls); ‘A Home Away From Home’ - designed for the modern day stay for anyone wishing to stay in peaceful and calm surroundings.

Bachpan Bachao is a student-run NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) which was started on 14th November 2011. The main objective of Bachpan Bachao is to eradicate illiteracy in India. We interact with government school children and try to bring awareness among them about the importance of education. We conduct many events and raise funds which will be used for the welfare of the poor children. Through these events, we also try to motivate children to study.

Some of the events that we have conducted are vygnyanika parvan, walk for a cause, school kits distribution, installation of libraries in government schools, shoe distribution in government schools, solar lamp distribution.

VYGNYANIKA PARVAN

Every year we conduct vygnyanika parvan i.e science fair in our college (SNIST). In science fair, we conduct elocution, essay writing, drawing, group project competitions. This provides them a platform to showcase their talent. This is a good way of motivating them.

WALK FOR A CAUSE

The walk is the annual event of Bachpan Bachao which is a fundraising event that is conducted on friendship day. The funds raised through this event will be used for the specific cause.

SCHOOL KITS DISTRIBUTION:

We distribute school kits in many government schools. The kit consists of notebooks, pens, geometric box etc, which is done to encourage children.

SOLAR LAMP DISTRIBUTION:

We distributed solar lamps to children in support of climate change mitigation.

COMPUTER EDUCATION:

The present government schools are unable to provide computer education for government school children. Review Committee

This concept is a novel one initiated by the Institute. The class review committee for each class consists of the staff who teach the class and from among those students who are top rankers, middle rankers, and bottom rankers (three students from each level). Periodic meetings of these committees are held to review, whether the syllabus is completed in the stipulated time or not. If not, remedial measures are taken. Any special difficulty experienced by the staff and students are also discussed and necessary action is initiated in the interests of effective teaching-learning process and better understanding between the faculty and student.
