SRM University Chennai Ranking 2024 in India

SRM University NIRF Ranking 2024 will be released soon by the Ministry of Education (MoE). The ranking is purely based on five parameters - Teaching, Learning and Resources (TLR), Research and Professional Practice (RP), Graduation Outcomes (GO), Outreach and Inclusivity (OI) and Perception (PR). SRM University NIRF Ranking engineering category was 28 in the year 2023. Apart from this category, it has also been ranked in various other categories. SRM University ranking in India in the dental, architecture, pharmacy and university category as per NIRF Ranking 2023 is 6, 14, 15 and 18 respectively. Apart from these rankings, the university also made its place in the new category of the NIRF Ranking - “Innovation Category” and was ranked in the rank band of 51-100. SRM University Chennai NIRF ranking 2023 for the overall and medical category was 32 and 20 respectively.

Upon analysing the SRM Chennai NIRF Ranking trends, it can be concluded that the ranking of the university in majority categories such as overall, engineering, university, and architecture has shown significant improvement over the years. However, some categories such as the pharmacy and architecture saw dip in the ranking. The medical category witnessed a positive change in the year 2021 securing the 20th spot from 31st in 2020. However, the 20th rank remained constant for the next two consecutive years. 

SRM University NIRF Ranking Comparative Analysis

• Overall Category - As per the NIRF ranking, the overall category has shown a notable improvement. From rank 58 in year 2020 jumped up to 53 in 2021 and then to 36 in 2022 and finally moved four more places up in 2023 and secured a 32nd rank.
• University Category - SRM University has shown a consistent performance in the overall category throughout the years 2020 to 2023 and the jump from rank 58 in 2020 to rank 32 shows this. 
• Engineering Category - SRM University NIRF Ranking engineering category has shown mixed fluctuation over the years where the ranking improved from 41 in 2020 to rank 34 and 24 in 2021 and 2022 respectively. However, it engineering category witnessed a dip in the ranking for the year 2023 and from 24 it was ranked 28.
