SRM Chennai admission 2024 is offered to 41 courses at both undergraduate and postgraduate academic levels. SRM University Selection Criteria for UG Courses

SRM Chennai selection criteria for bachelor’s programmes vary from one course to another, depending on a student’s preferred specialisation. The college mostly offers admissions based on 10+2 scores or an equivalent diploma. Outlined below is a brief selection criteria for SRM University admission for UG courses.

• SRM Chennai selection criteria for BTech/ MTech integrated programmes state that students must have mandatorily studied Mathematics and must have a valid score in JEE Main or SRMJEEE.
• For BArch, the prerequisites include qualifying for an Aptitude Test in Architecture administered by the respective state/ central authority representing the Council of Architecture.
• For BDes, the selection is based on UCEED scores, followed by a written examination and personal interview at SRMIST.
• Based on the marks obtained by the candidates, shortlisting is done.
• Selected candidates have to now participate in the university level counselling process for seat allocation.

SRM University Selection Criteria for PG Courses

The following is the selection criteria for SRM Chennai admission for PG courses.

• Selections Based on Entrance Exams
  • For ME/ MTech admission, selection is based on GATE, JEE Main, SRMJEEE (PG), CEETA, etc.
  • For the MBA, the selection is based on CAT, NMAT, SRMJEEM, TANCET MBA, CMAT, etc.
  • For MCA admission, selection is based on TANCET.
• Entrance Exam Qualifications

Prospective students who clear the exam with the required cutoff marks are extended an offer of admission. After this, they have to pay the SRM University admission fee for seat confirmation.

• As per the SRM Chennai admission process, the first step is that candidates need to fill up the application form by paying the required application fee.
• For this, they need to visit the SRMIST official website, download the application form for their preferred course, fill in the required details and attach the requisite documents in the correct format. Along with the self-attested scanned documents candidates must also submit a photograph Image: Size should be between 10 kb and 200 kb with a dimension of 3.5 cm X 4.5 cm. • Candidates will be then directed to the SRM University admission payment page, where they need to pay the application fees.
