One of the most attractive buildings of the institution is that of the Knowledge Centre. This building of knowledge is a three-storied building with a library in one section and computer laboratory in the other section. The Library section of the building is full with all the latest course-related books and research and reference materials. The books and reference materials are from renowned authors and publishers which can be trusted and relied upon knowledge. The Computer Laboratory is laced with the most techno-friendly computer systems with the latest software and smooth running operating system to help students learn every possible computer-related knowledge and skills.
TAPMI’s Information and Communication Technology (ICT) has turned out to be a strong support system for its students’ learning. With high-quality software, hardware and communication systems, the ICT has emerged strongly in the infrastructure list of the institution. The infrastructure list of TAPMI also includes Audio/Video Systems in classrooms and everywhere around the campus and the Finance Lab to train students in global financial management, risk management, portfolio management, etc.
TAPMI’s 5 hostel blocks have been designed keeping in mind the students’ requirements of rigorous study and relaxation. Each room has an attached bathroom and a 24-hour hot water facility supported by solar heating. All the hostels have lifts, back-up power, and Wi-Fi Internet connectivity.
There are separate hostels for men and women, each with air-conditioned double and single rooms. A few guest rooms are also available in the hostel. TAPMI has constructed 6 recreation rooms with games likes carom and chessboards, for recreation of students.
TAPMI Toastmasters for the first time represented itself in the area level (F2) Humorous Speech and Evaluation Contest held on 2nd November, 2014 at Infosys, Mangalore. Nishant Niraj from TAPMI Toastmasters took the role of Contest Chair for Evaluation Contest in this event. The contest saw participation from winners of Club Contests from all clubs in the F2 area including Manipal-Udupi Community Club, Winners Club (Mangalore), ProAct Club (Mangalore) and TAPMI Toastmasters Club. The event was presided over by the Area Governor, Mr. Shashikanth and was graced by Division Governor and Lieutenant Governor Marketing (District 95) along with an array of seasoned toastmasters. In a first for TAPMI Toastmasters, being part of this annual event truly brought out the flavor of the international connect of the club. It was an exposure that would do a world of good for club members in their endeavor of learning and acing the art of public speaking.
The area level contest was preceded by a Club Contest at TAPMI Toastmasters where members competed to represent the club at the Area Contest held in Mangalore. The competition was judged by external judges Mr. Sridhar (President, Manipal-Udupi Toastmasters Club) and Ms. Vijaylakshmi (Manipal-Udupi Toastmasters Club). The Club Contest was held at TAPMI for the first time. Humorous Speech Contest was won by Ms. Achala Bhat (1st) and Pratik Murarka (2nd) while the Evaluation Contest was won by Mr. Peush (1st) and Ms. Achala Bhat (2nd). The members did put a splendid show in organizing this contest and quality of speakers was well appreciated. Unfortunately, the winners couldn’t represent the club at the Area Contest at Mangalore due to clashes with academic schedules.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of college was so good. The quality of the furniture is also good. They have all facilities like Wi-Fi, labs, and an awesome library which is among the best in India. Eye appealing infrastructure.
Hostel: It has 5 hostel blocks which offer accommodation facility for both boys and girls. Air-conditioned rooms are available on single and double occupancy basis. Mess food available for both hostels.
