The Neotia University Reviews

R
Decent experience at Neotia

Overall: I'm a former BBA student from Neotia, My overall experience was pretty decent. I met some amazing people and had some memorable moments. The campus has a nice vibe and the location is peaceful away from the city. However it's a relatively new university so there are aspects which could have been better in my opinion.

Placement: To be honest the placements were not that great. The companies that came for campus recruitment were mostly start-ups or small firms. While some of my batchmates did get decent offers, many of us had to looks for jobs on our own.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is one of the strong points of the university. The campus is well maintained. The class rooms are equipped with decent facilities. There's a library with wide range of books. The wifi did not work most of the times but it was manageable.

Faculty: The professors were very knowledgable and wemt out of their way to help the students. They brought real world experiences into the class room. They were very supportive and also helped prepare for my entrance exams.

Hostel: The hostels are fairly comfortable. the rooms were spacious and most of them had attached bathrooms. The food was not that tasty but it was edible. Afterall cannot expect much from hostel food.

Overall: I don't even know i will experience college life like a wisdom and this college made to experience that by pushing me to participate in different activities and faculty members are very friendly to all the students so no one will never feel hesitate to reach them.

Placement: The placements are good but very much paid there in a range of 15-20 K salaries. Our university. Around 80-85% placement but in mass recruiting companies or start ups. Internships were also provided to us in first and second year in summers.

Infrastructure: My college is composed with wonderful infrastructure like fully furnished classrooms and huge parking facility for all students and staff, And my college is fully eco friendly to the environment and n number of indoor games are available.

Faculty: Supportive professors and faculty members with fantastic academic and research exposure. Practical approach is used for teaching by the faculty members. Research papers are given to us as a part of our experiential learning.

Hostel: The hostel is closed off everyday between 11am and 2pm for cleaning but the owners are very flexible on that rule, just inform them first if you need to get some stuff done, but anyway at that time you should be exploring with your friends. Hostel life changed me a lot.

P
Average University of kolkata

Overall: The Neotia University is one of the average university which provide courses in various subject. It is situated in Rural kolkata so many of the students doesn't even know about this University. I was BBA graduate in Digital marketing course from this college. Any my experience was very poor. Overall purpose I will not suggest anyone to take admission on this University. There are far more better colleges are there in kolkata.

Placement: The placement structure of the college is very poor. Before admission the college will say very big big things but after admission you will get to realise that it's all lie. They provide placement to very least amount of students. As I am one of them to get it. You need to score good marks in all the subjects.

Infrastructure: The Neotia university infrastructure is good but only for students who is pursuing for hotel management. Apart from that the infrastructure doesn't match the reputation of the college. It has a basic infrastructure. Not good not bad. Power cuts are normal so don't worry about it.

Faculty: The faculty or staff of the college keeps changing within months. So they are unable to keep the tracks of syllabus. The schedule of the classes frequently change as they someday nobody appears in the class. I have a Average experience with it.

Hostel: I was a dayscholar but my few friends lived in hostel. The environment is good but the facilities which college provide is not useful. Food is average and wifi doesn't work as the speed is very low. Hostel fees are very high respectively. As the university is situated rural area so the student had to apply for hostel to live. I prefer PG more then this hostel.
