Candidates seeking admission to the Tolani Institute of Management Studies must note that 75% of the seats available for the MBA course are filled on the grounds of admission counselling conducted by ACPC (Admission Committee for Professional Courses). On the other side, 25% of seats of the MBA program are filled directly by the institute.
Therefore, MBA applicants of the Tolani Institute of Management Studies have two alternatives, i.e., first to engage in the centralized counselling undertaken by ACPC or to take immediate admission to the institute. Non-Gujarat students may also apply for admission to the Tolani Institute of Management Studies.
The candidate should have completed the Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 50% marks in any stream from any recognized university
And the candidates must register for CMAT entrance exam
The candidate appearing in the final year examination can also apply
Candidate having a compartment in any subject will not be considered for the admission in the MBA program at TIMS
Having work experience is not a necessity for admission to the programme.

The selection process for the Tolani Institute of Management Studies for the MBA program is split into two categories-
MBA Admission through ACPC Counselling: Candidate shall have passed the CMAT examination with a minimum of 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC/ ST/SEBC/EWS category candidates). A candidate seeking admission on reserved seat shall be required to produce a certificate of inclusion in the concerned category. After that the admission Committee shall prepare merit lists of the eligible candidates, the merit lists shall be displayed on the website of the Admission Committee. Then the ACPC will publish the schedule of online counselling program on its website.
After that candidate are required to indicate his/her order of choices of courses and colleges or institutions, online. The Allotment of seats shall be made on the basis of merit,
Direct Admission: Candidates who have not participated in ACPC counselling or who have not been admitted through centralized counselling may seek immediate admission by visiting the institute. The Institute shall allocate admission on the grounds of merit, i.e. the marks received by the applicants in their graduation.
