| Library | The college library, providing service to our patrons, has been automated and us world class infrastructure faculties. With the state of the art equipment’s, we have a huge collection of information, which are available in digital format including audio/videos, apart from books and periodicals. Our vision is to provide world class knowledge resource that not only caters to the curricular requirements but also promotes intellectual enquiry and research. We propose to achieve this through superior quality service consistently. Collection for us is, future oriented and customer driven process, which is constantly updated to meet our customer requirements, and focuses on values like quality, utility, accessibility and stability. 7790 sqft space in two levels | Digital library with internet facility | OPAC facility Students and staff should sign the gate register before entering the library. Silence is to be strictly observed. Chairs and tables should not be disturbed from their position. Mutilation and disfiguring of pages of library materials by ink or pencil marks are prohibited. If a book is lost, borrower is either liable for fine or bound to replace the same or both. Books meant for “Reference” will not be issued to the students and staff. Day wise fine will be collected for not returning the books on the due date. Defects found in the books and bound volumes taken out for reading or borrowing should be brought immediately to the notice of the staff on duty. Loss of ID cards is to be reported immediately. Students scan borrow three books from the library for the period of two weeks. Personal papers and non-library materials are not allowed to the library. Students are advised not to exchange the library copies amongst themselves. Books are to be returned and the dues are to be remitted before going on vacation. Library will not accept return of books on the same date of issue. If uncut pages found ask library staff for help. Don't use pen or pencil to hold a particular page. |

| Hostels/Accommodation | There are separate hostels for boys and girls which are well furnished, well ventilated, with all modern amenities. Nominal fees are collected in the hostel as rent and the mess fee is based on dividing system. Hostels in academic institutions are the epicenter of the dynamics of the campus life. Spread over vast area and surrounded by green cover, encompassing gardens, inside and outside lawns, Trichy Engineering College Hostel, for over a half century has been providing fuel and force to the life and motion of College’s liberal democratic academic culture. Trichy Engineering College Hostel, with its architectural grandeur and aesthetics, has been an abode to many luminaries in a wonderful kaleidoscope that the time-space spectrum is. Admissions are strictly on the basis of merit and the resident students are expected to maintain the spirit of camaraderie and dignity. The guiding principle for the Trichy Engineering College community has been to uphold democratic and egalitarian values and strive towards intellectual excellence.tuated next to the sports complex, the Hostel is a spacious structure with 119 rooms enclosing eight lawns with rose beds and hedges. The Hostel provides residential facilities to about two hundred undergraduate and postgraduate male students. The Common Room provides the residents recreational facilities such as Table-tennis, Carom-board, Chess-board, and a separate TV room apart from the newspapers and magazines to keep them on the qui vive. The Hostel Office and the Warden’s Residence, located within the Hostel premises, are integral part of the Hostel. There are several employees to look after the daily chores in the hostel. They include an office clerk, a mess manager, mess/room bearers, cooks, watchmen, janitors, gardener and a few others for kitchen and pantry work. In addition, there is a dry cleaner and a newspaper vendor to provide services to the resident students. Mess: A spacious dining hall with seating capacity around 60 students at a time with kitchen equipments such as exhaust system, water cooler, water purifier plant, Chutney grinder, Mixer grinder and other essential utensils. Waiting Hall: Here the visitors, parents and other outsiders are allowed to wait. Care taking: The students are take care for 24 hours of every day by the Resident Warden and other teaching faculties stayed in hostel. Other facilities: Quality purified water is provided to the students using water purifier. The hostel is equipped with generator of 15KVA to provide students with no power loss. 24 hours security service is provided for the hostel. The students can relax themselves by involve in indoor or outdoor games such as chess, caroms, shuttle etc during their leisure time. For relaxation and news gathering, the students can make use of Television which is available within the Mess hall. |
