Overall: I was a B.Tech Civil Engineering graduate from Vidhyadeep University, and according to my experience, everything offered by the university was top notch. The infrastructure was well maintained. The campus was away from the city's hustle-bustle, providing a peaceful environment. There was a well organised library with subject-specific shelves for easy access. The computer lab was neat and the desktops were updated with new software. There were both indoor and outdoor sports facilities. Our department had around 80-90 students. There teachers were very helpful. Our teachers accompanied us to the industry visits for training sessions. My admission in Vidhyadeep University was done based on GUJCET and class 12 results.
Placement: As a former student, I would say that the placements of civil engineering were mediocre at best. On-campus placements saw visits very few companies, mostly smaller businesses. They offered a package around Rs 1 LPA to Rs 1.2 LPA. However, internships were provided from 6th semester and help was provided for off-campus placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of Vidhyadeep University campus was well built. All the necessary facilities were provided. Our civil engineering lab had proper machines and equipment to work on. There were also indoor and outdoor sports facilities where we played chees, tennis, cricket, football, etc. Busses were also provided for transport. The whole campus was wifi enabled as well.
Faculty: The teachers of our department were the best. They were very cooperative and helped us with both theories and practicals. During seminars and industry visits they made sure we got proper understanding of the topic. They made our classes interactive and encouraged student participation.
Hostel: The hostels were quite good. The security was strict to ensure there was no ragging. The food was okay, not very fancy. The WiFi disturbed a lot, often lagging. Other than that, everything was good, the rooms were clean, the washrooms were frequently cleaned as well, and the facilities were good.
Overall: I am a BTech CE passout student from Vidhyadeep University. In my opinion, students who are willing to get a good education for BTech can get admission here. The faculty at the university is very supportive and have PhD degrees in their relevant field. Students are offered placement assistance and internships during their academic period here. Overall, the university provides good education to students.
Placement: Placements at Vidhyadeep University is good. Companies like Berger, Bharat Petroleum and Samsung visited the campus during the placements of our batch. The placement cell is very active and offers assistance with resume building, personality development and mock interviews.
Infrastructure: The overall infrastructure of Vidyadeep University is good. Students are allowed to enter the university only with their ICards. The campus is big and has many trees in the campus. The classrooms are big and have CCTV for safety purposes.
Faculty: Faculty at Vidhyadeep University is very good. I do not know much about other teachers but Ravi sir from the BTech CE department is a wonderful teacher. Along with the studies, he teaches us about the scope of CE in the current corporate environment which is a good lesson for the future.
Hostel: Hostel at Vidhyadeep University is overall good. However, the mess food is not good in my opinion and the taste of food can be better. At times we have to cook Maggi in hostel rooms. The warden at hostel is very strict and does not permit any friends inside the hostel.
Placement: If I am being honest, the placement scene at Vidhyadeep is not that great. Only a few of us manage to secure jobs through campus placements, and even those jobs weren't exactly high paying. The university does not witness a lot of companies coming in for placements either.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is quite good. The builidng are well mainatined and the classrooms are always clean. There are a bunch of faciltties available for everyone, including a canteen, mess for hostel students, clean washrooms, a playground, sports room and even medical facilities.
Faculty: There are a few professors who are really good at teaching and go out of their way to help students. But then there are also some who aren't as knowledgeable.
Hostel: Hostels facilities are not that good. The rooms are very small and the washrooms in the hostel are not properly maintained. The mess food was average and there was internet issues.
Overall: I was a B.Tech civil engineering student at Vidhyadeep University and passed out in 2022. The curriculum is well structured providing a balance between theory and practical application. Our department had an intake of around 80-90 students. Admission was based on my performance in the GUJCET as well as my class 12 results.
Placement: As a former student I'd say the placements in our department were pretty average. Not a lot of students were placed through the university placement cell. The average salary package offered was around Rs 1 to 2 lakh per annum, which in my opinion, is bit on the lower side. However, internships were offered in the final year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our university is truly impressive. The classrooms were always clean and there were a lot of facilities available for everyone. We have a canteen that serves a variety of food options. The washrooms were well maintained. For those who enjoy sports we have a playground and a sports room. Plus, there's a medical facility on campus for any health related concerns. All in all, it's a well equipped and comfortable environment.
Faculty: I can confidently say that our professors are highly qualified in their respective subjects. They have a deep understanding of their fields, which they effectively imparted to us. Our professors always ensured that they completed the course syllabus thoroughly and made the learning process engaging for us.
Hostel: The hostel facilities were just about okay, not too impressive. One of the major drawbacks was the lack of basic amenities like WiFi. This was a bit of a letdown, considering how essential internet access is for students nowadays.
