The placement policy of VJTI is straight and simple. The institute makes sure that no eligible student is devoid of the placement opportunities they deserve. Every student from all three courses, B. Tech, M. Tech, MCA, abides by the one job policy of the institute. Students have complete freedom to decide if they want to accept the placement offer or not. After the placement process is done, the training and placement cell of Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute sometimes decides to call a few companies to provide the eligible students with job opportunities who remain unplaced. 

Students need to secure more than a specified CPI (6.75) and register themselves with the placement cell, to be eligible for participating in the placement process. They can also choose not to be a part of the placement process due to their plans of pursuing higher studies. In such cases, students of VJTI must make a declaration about not participating in the placement process by filling out a form as soon as possible.

The Training and Placement Office (TPO) of Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute is responsible for connecting students with the corporate and industrial world. From arranging the whole on and off-campus placement procedure to facilitating students with soft-skill development programs, the placement cell leaves no sign of folly on their behalf. Every year the placement process for VJTI starts in August. It is conducted in two phases. Take a look.

Phase I of VJTI Placement Process

• TPO sends invitations to the companies with other relevant information in June/July every year.
• Companies mail the job details and requirements, such as CTC, cut-offs, Branches, etc., to the placement cell.
• TPO allots dates for the companies by ranking them based on the CTC, job profile, etc.
• After the negotiation between companies, final dates and details are made available on the notice board for the students.
• Students are informed about the dates of Pre-Placement Talks (PPT).
• Interested students complete their registration.
• Companies shortlist the students.
• A list of the shortlisted students is mailed to the TPO of VJTI.
• Students cannot back off after applying for a company. They must finish the whole procedure of placement. If they break any rule, they will be dealt with accordingly.

Phase II of VJTI PLacement Process

• The companies visit the campus of Veermata Jijabai Technological Institute.
• The companies conduct written tests/ aptitude tests and group discussions/personal interviews.
• Companies publish the final list and mail the offer letters for the selected candidates to TPO as soon as possible. 
• After signing the offered letters, students start working for the company from the joining date.

Note that students can not directly approach the companies during the placement process. The TPO works like a bridge that connects companies with eligible students. In case of any violation of the rules, students may even get exempted from the placement process.

At the time of the placement of the final year students, some companies also conduct a summer internship selection process. Summer internships are for the pre-final year students.
