BMLT Course Overview

BMLT full form is Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology, which is a professional degree that enables candidates to impart a wide range of knowledge and practical experiences in laboratory equipment handling and laboratory diagnostic procedures. The duration of BMLT course is 3 years followed by 6 months internship period. The course is offered in offline mode only. Candidates who are willing to pursue a career in the management of laboratories, advancement in laboratories, and instrumentation should study BMLT degree. 

The minimum eligibility criteria to study BMLT course is to pass higher secondary with at least 50% marks in aggregate in the science stream. Physics, Chemistry and Biology must be the compulsory subjects of students at 10+2 level for BMLT.  The admission process for a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Technology degree is purely done on a merit basis, although some colleges arrange their own entrance tests like the Manipal University Entrance Test and Jamia Hamdard Entrance Test. The syllabus of BMLT include subjects like Genitourinary System, Musculoskeletal System, Tissue Renewal and Repair, Complete Blood Count, Staining of Carbohydrates and Transfusion Transmissible Infectious Disease Screen.

Hi there ther admission for program in lab technology is on at LPU. In the wake of pandemic, LPU is encouraging online admissions because it is safe to be home. You can study as well as get admission online. First you need to register on LPU’s admission portal with your basic details. You will receive mail once you have successfully registered. Then you login at LPU’s admission portal with an already created username and password. After that you select your program and make a partial payment of Rs. 10,000/- (Application fee, i.e., Rs. 500; Rest under the programme fee of the first semester). After this you need to upload the documents for verification. LPU will give you a timeframe within which you will have to pay the fee. Appear for the LPUNEST online, make payments and schedule it online. The scholarship that you get through LPUNEST will count at the time of making payments. This will help you get a waiver in the program fee.
