About Bachelor of Vocational Education (B.Voc)

Bachelor of Vocational Education (B.Voc) is a three-year undergraduate course which is focused on providing adequate skills for a candidate to have the relevant skills relating to a profession. B.Voc was introduced by UGC to ensure that students have adequate skills and knowledge that could make them ready at each exit point of the programme. One of the major advantages of opting for B.Voc after 10+2 is that the course opens multiple doors not just after the completion of the programme but also during the course. The B.Voc curriculum is mapped with the job role descriptions as per National Skills Qualification Framework (NSQF) which ensures that graduates have the skills that are valued at every level as per the requirements of the market.

B.Voc is an application-based programme. This skill-based study concentrates on practical learning rather than theoretical one. B.Voc course is offered in different domains like food technology, beauty, and wellness, graphic designing, hospitality, etc. Candidates having (10+2) with at least 50% marks are eligible for B.Voc admission. One of the most important benefits a B.Voc course lends to the candidates is that it increases job opportunities. As the B.Voc graduates possess work experience during the course, getting a job becomes easy for them. A crucial feature of the Bachelor of Vocational Education (B.Voc) is that it brings industry exposure and even after completion of the first year candidates get a diploma degree.

As a skill-oriented education, B.Voc is gaining immense popularity in India. With the continuous growth of IT and other sectors, employment scopes are increasing. These industries require skilled individuals and B.Voc education prepares the candidates with the industry-required skills.
