Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship

The Department of Welfare of Scheduled Castes (SC) and Backward Classes (BC) under the state government of Punjab has introduced a number of programmes on the Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship Portal. The Dr. BR Ambedkar scholarship programmes are open to residents of Punjab who fall under the SC and OBC categories. The National Scholarship Portal (NSP), the Dr. Ambedkar Punjab Scholarship Portal, and the E-Punjab Scholarship Portal all accept online scholarship applications from candidates. Students in classes I through postdoctoral study can apply for Punjab scholarships. The state government seeks to offer financial assistance for higher education to deserving individuals from economically underprivileged families. Candidates who are chosen for the scholarship programme can earn up to INR 20,000.

Following are the courses offered through the Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship.

The Dr. Ambekar Scholarship application process is conducted online. The Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship application form must be completed online by the candidates at the official portal. To avoid rejections, interested candidates should submit their applications within the allotted period. Below is a full description of the application process:

• Visit the Dr Ambedkar Scholarship Portal and go through the homepage.
• If you are a new user, click on the tab that says 'Student Registration' to register on the scholarship portal. 
• After completing the registration successfully, a user ID and password is generated.
• In order to complete the scholarship portal login, the applicants should click on the tab that says ‘'Registered Students' Login’'. 
• Next, they must provide the user ID and password to complete the login process.
• In order to access Dr Ambedkar scholarship form, candidates should click on the 'Apply for Scholarship'.
• The Dr Ambedkar scholarship application form must be filled in with all the required details like:

1. Name of the student
2. Gender
3. Aadhar Number
4. Date of Birth
5. Father's Name
6. Mother's Name
7. Religion
8. Category
9. Mobile
10. E-mail Address
11. Annual Income
12. Correspondence Address

• Students who have already registered on the portal have to submit their Username and Password to login. 
• After this, students need to click on 'Register Scholarship Application form' to submit the Dr. Ambedkar application form.
• In order to upload all the documents needed to verify the candidates' credentials, the candidates must click on the left side tab of the Dr. Ambedkar application form.

Finally, the applicant should take a printout of the completed application before submitting it to the appropriate institute together with all of the attested supporting documents. 

Documents Required 

The documents that will be required when applying for the Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship are:

• Aadhar card
• Self-attested photocopy of the caste certificate
• Domicile certificate
• Parents' income certificate
• Copy of high school certificate
• Copy of the first page of the bank passbook
• Handicap certificate (if applicable)
• Previous year’s examination marksheet
• Mobile number
• Passport size photograph

The following are details of the renewal procedure:

• The candidate for the Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship must go to the portal and select "New Registration".
• They have to enter the previously used Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship login credentials.
• After that, the candidate should select the 'Renewal Application' tab for the current year.
• A new User ID and password will be generated after entering all personal information.
• The application form for the Dr. BR Ambedkar Scholarship is displayed, and the candidate must input information such as their merit score from the previous year, attendance information, etc. Any additional information can be updated if necessary.
• The renewal application form must be submitted by clicking "Submit" when the required documents have been uploaded.
• The candidate has to use their newly generated credentials to log into the portal.
