Hidayatullah National Law University Raipur was established in 2003 by the Government of Chhattisgarh under the Hidayatullah National University of Law, Chhattisgarh Act (Act No.10 of 2003). Hidayatullah National Law University Raipur offers admission to the dual degree BA LLB programme and the master level LLM programme are available at the college. CLAT (Common Law Admission Test) scores are used to determine admission for the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes. Previously the college was based on national level entrance exams. HNLU Raipur also offers scholarships to candidates from the state's scheduled tribes, scheduled castes, other backward classes, PWDs, and minorities.
