Here is a step-by-step overview of the application process for the ONGC MBA Scholarship:

• Ensure you meet all eligibility requirements, including academic qualifications, income limits, and other criteria as specified.
• Complete the application form with all required information. Make sure that you follow the “Application Format” as prescribed on the website.
• Gather and certify all supporting documents. These include academic records, proof of income, caste certificates (if applicable), and other required documents.
• Have your application form and supporting documents certified and attested by the Head, Principal, or Dean of your college or university.
• Upload the complete set of certified documents to the ONGC portal. Ensure that all attachments meet the application format specifications.
• Besides uploading online, send hard copies of your complete application, along with attested documents, to the designated ONGC office. The exact address is mentioned in the application form instructions.
• To receive the scholarship benefits, provide proof of enrollment at your college or university, as requested.
• Candidates are selected based on academic merit in their qualifying exams. In cases of identical marks, students with lower family income receive priority, with preference given to those from BPL families.
• If awarded, the scholarship amount of INR 4,000 per month (INR 48,000 annually) is disbursed after each academic year, directly to the student’s bank account via ECS.
• The scholarship continues annually, contingent upon the student’s promotion to the next academic year. To renew, students must submit an online renewal application in the prescribed format.
• If a student accepts another scholarship after receiving the ONGC MBA Scholarship, they must refund the ONGC Scholarship amount received.

You must keep in mind that the scholarship program is organised by the ONGC Foundation. Hence, it is their prerogative to change or halt the scholarship program at any time, with or without further notice. Here are some of the important terms and conditions that you need to consider before applying for the MBA scholarship via ONGC.

• 50% of the scholarships are set for girls with an aim of increasing the female student enrollment in colleges.
• A 60% or more in each semester must be attained if the scholarship is to be continued to the subsequent semesters.
• Students who will be offered the scholarship cannot be beneficiaries of any other scholarship or grants from any other sources while benefiting from the scholarship.
• The students of the OBC and SC/ST category should apply through their respective scholarship programs only.
• The scholarship is only open for students pursuing full-time, regular courses in their areas of qualifier fields.
• It is preferred to have an active account number which the applicant should maintain after we select them for easy transfer of funds.
• The holder must have a current mobile number and e-mail because these will be the primary contact throughout the scholarship duration.
• The ONGC MBA Scholarship is allowed every academic year but per scholar and per course of study only once in his/her lifetime.
• The selection made by the ONGC Foundation is final, and there will be no communication regarding the final result of the selection process.
• The receipt of the scholarship does not entitle the receiver to any employment chance with ONGC or any of its subsidiary companies.
• Any false information entered in the form will lead to the rejection of an application and the student will be barred from making future applications for studies with notification will be forwarded to the institutions.
