About PFMS Scholarship 2024

The PFMS Scholarship 2024 is a government monetary assistance program offered by the Ministry of Education to economically weak students who are pursuing higher education in India. The scholarship offers a maximum amount of INR 3,72,000 and can be applied for through the Public Finance Management System (PFMS). PFMS is a web-based platform that monitors the disbursement of funds for government-sponsored programs/schemes in the social sector.

Originally, the PFMS portal was established to monitor four flagship schemes of the Government of India, namely, MGNREGS, PMGSY, NRHM, and SSA in the states of Madhya Pradesh, Mizoram, Bihar, and Punjab. Later, it was linked to the financial networks of Central/State Governments and agencies of state governments. The Government of India announced the DBT scheme in 2013, which was implemented through the PFMS platform.

Through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system, the scholarship funds are directly credited to the candidate's bank or post-office accounts. This scheme enables students to track their payment status online. Payments for other social welfare schemes, such as pensions, are also directly transferred to the beneficiaries through PFMS, either via Aadhaar or NEFT. If you are seeking monetary assistance to pursue higher education in India, you must be aware of the complete details related to the PFMS Scholarship 2023 provided on this page.
