Central University of Karnataka Admission 2024

Central University of Karnataka admission proccess to all courses can be completed online. Students must visit cukadmission.samarth.edu.in and register for admission. For CUK UG course admission students must first clear the CUET and then attend the counselling sessions. CUK PG admission 2024-25 will also follow the same process. The B.Tech admission process at CUK requires candidates to have a valid JEE score. For PhD courses application, UG/ CSIR NET, SLET, GATE, etc. qualification is mandatory.  

Along with appearing for entrance tests, Central University of Karnataka eligibility criteria depends on the course-wise requirements too. All CUK programmes have a unique set of requirements that candidates must align themselves with.

Central University of Karnataka Courses and Eligibility 2024

B.Tech  in Electronics and Communication/ Electrical Engineering10 + 2 or equivalent with 50% marks and having Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. 50% of the seats will be filled on the basis of performance in JEE Mains and JEE Advanced, conducted by the IITs for admission to all their UG programmes. Remaining 50% seats will be filled on the basis of merit in Common University Entrance Test conducted by NTA
B.Sc Physics/ ChemistryPassed 10+2 examination with 50% marks and having studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. 5% marks relaxation for reserved categories. 
B.Sc/ BA Psychology or English10 + 2 or equivalent from a recognised board/ institution with a minimum of 50% marks for general and 45% for reserved categories. 
MA English, Hindi or Economics Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% marks. 45% aggregate required for reserved categories. 
M.Sc Applied Geology or GeoinformaticsBA/BSc with main or ancillary subject as Geography or related disciplines of Earth Sciences / Environmental Sciences with 50% marks aggregate for general and 45% for reserved categories.
B.EdBachelor’s or master’s degree from recognised university or any other qualification equivalent, with a minimum of 50% in aggregate.

CUK CUET Registration 2024

Applying for the CUET 2024 involves the following steps:

  • Visit the CUET official website cuet.samarth.ac.in.
  • Click on New Registration and enter name, email address and mobile number to sign up.
  • Now using the same credentials, login into your account.
  • The application form will appear on the screen.
  • Fill in all the details and upload photograph and signature. Students are also asked about the program applied for and choice of University (up to 3).
  • Pay the CUET fees and save the confirmation form for future reference.

Students will receive a confirmation message on their registered mobile numbers too. All details relating to CUET for CUG, registration, exam dates and result can be found on cuet.nta.nic.in, nta.ac.in.

Central University of Karnataka UG and PG Admission 2024

Admission to various CUK UG and PG programmes will be held by online mode through cukcuet.samarth.edu.in portal. Any other mode shall not be accepted. It is mandatory to register to the SAMARTH portal that will be displayed on CUK official website. Only the candidates who have appeared for CUET UG and JEE Mains qualified are eligible for registration. All candidates are required to pay the non-refundable CUK registration fee as per their categories. The steps for Central University of Karnataka UG and PG courses admission are as follows:

  • Register for the CUET and appear for the test.
  • Register for CUK UG admission or CUK PG admission by filling in the application form. Candidates must enter their CUET score, upload the required documents and pay the registration fee.
  • The Admission committee of the concerned programmes will verify the submitted documents in the registration portal and announce the merit lists for all CUK courses 2024.
  • The coordinator/ HOD will communicate with the eligible candidates as per merit list through emails (registered email in SAMARTH portal only) and may interact through online platforms (such as Google Meet platform) during the admission process. The candidate should be available for the interaction and it is mandatory.
  • Selected candidates should pay Central University of Karnataka admission fee through the online link they receive in their respective SAMARTH portal. The details of the admission fee of the different courses will be available on the university website.
  • Seat allotment of the candidate will be confirmed after the physical verification of the documents at the university. Selected candidates who have paid the admission fee must physically come to the university, submit the original documents, and ensure submission of the transfer certificate/migration certificate to CUK within 15 days of selection. The concerned coordinator/ HOD will issue a provisional admit card to the candidate which confirms the admission of his/her candidature to the concerned programme.

CUK PhD Admissions 2024

For admission in Central University of Karnataka PhD courses, candidates must qualify for national/ state level research exams or be part of research projects. They may directly register for interview/ viva online at the SAMARTH registration portal. Candidates applying for CUK PhD admission must fulfill one of the following criteria: 

  • UGC/ CSIR NET (including JRF), GATE or equivalent.
  •  Secure DST-INSPIRE Fellowship.
  • National/State level Teacher fellowship holders.
  • Candidates admitted under various research projects.

After the interview or viva CUK PhD merit list 2024 will be uploaded on the official CUK website cuk.ac.in. Selected candidates will be notified for the further admission process, which is similar to other CUK UG courses and PG courses.
