CSVTU Bhilai is a public, state-government-owned university located in Chattisgarh. The university offers more than 40 courses at the undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and, doctoral levels. The courses are offered in the streams of engineering, technology, computer science, pharmacy, and, architecture. All the courses are approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC). The flagship courses of the university are B.Tech, M.Tech, and, B.Arch. Admission to these CSVTU courses is based on the JEE Main, GATE, and, NATA, exams respectively. CSVTU Application Process 2024
The application process of CSVTU is held in online mode. Aspiring candidates must ensure that they meet the basic eligibility criteria for admission in CSVTU. If this condition is not met, it may lead to the cancellation of the application. Apart from this, students are also required to appear for the entrance examination in accordance with their course. Once these two prerequisites are fulfilled, the following steps of application must be completed. The steps of application are as follows:
Step 1: Visit the official website of the university which is csvtu.ac.in. Ensure to land on the correct website and not the duplicate or old website of the university.
Step 2: Click on the “Academics” tab on this home page. This will lead to a fresh page where a list of all the UG, PG, Diploma, and, Doctoral courses will be displayed. Choose the course of your preference and click on the course name.
Step 3: As the next step of the CSVTU admission process, register yourself as a fresh applicant. Registration will be done by entering details like the personal information, academic qualifications, and other required information.
Step 4: Once registered successfully, log in again using the credentials created in the previous step. Fill out the detailed admission form with details like name, number, course, previous educational qualifications, personal details, etc.
Step 5: Upload the scanned copies of all the required documents. Ensure that the documents are in the prescribed format and size only. The admission portal will not accept any document in any size other than that prescribed.
Step 6: After re-checking the details, pay the CSVTU admission fee. The payment can be made through a credit card, a debit card, or net banking.
Step 7: Upon successful payment, take a screenshot of the application form. Take a printout of the same as well. This will act as proof of payment during the counselling sessions. The following documents will be required during the application process:

CSVTU Bhilai Cut Off
The university allots seats to students on the basis of the scores of various entrance examinations like the JEE Main, GATE, NATA, CMAT, etc. The scores and ranks secured by candidates in these exams are evaluated along with the other eligibility criteria to allocate seats to students. The Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University offers scholarships under the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) scheme. Every year, the AICTE provides various scholarships to students enrolled in its approved institutions and CSVTU is one of them. Aspiring candidates must note that to avail of these scholarships, they must apply through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) and not through the CSVTU scholarship portal. The two scholarships provided by the council are the “Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students” and the “Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students”. The details of the two are as follows:
AICTE Pragati Scholarship Scheme for Girl Students
- As part of this scheme, all eligible female students taking admission in the first year of a degree or diploma course or the second year through lateral entry can apply.
- Only 2 girls per family can apply for this scheme.
- The family income of the candidate should not be more than Rs 8 lakh per annum. In the case of married female candidates, the income of the parents or the inlaws whichever is higher will be considered.
- The selection of the candidates for this CSVTU scholarship will be based on merit in the qualifying examination.
- A total of 4000 scholarships will be awarded to students out of which 2000 will be awarded to the degree courses students and 2000 will be awarded to the diploma courses students.
- Selected students will be provided with a tuition fee amount of Rs 30,000 or the actual tuition fee whichever is less.
- Rs 2,000 per month will be provided for 10 months as incidental expenses.
AICTE Saksham Scholarship Scheme for Specially Abled Students
- The Saksham Scholarship Scheme is an initiative of the Ministry of Education which is being implemented in all the AICTE-approved institutions. CSVTU is one of the participating universities of this scheme.
- As part of this scheme, specially-abled students are provided with an amount of Rs 50,000 per annum as a lump sum amount for the payment of tuition fees, purchase of books and computers, and other study materials.
- To apply for this CSVTU scheme, students will have to apply through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP).
- Candidates who are admitted in the first year of degree or diploma courses or to the second year of degree or diploma courses through lateral entry are eligible to apply for this scheme.
- The family income of the candidate must be less than Rs 8 lakh per annum to apply for this scheme.
- No additional grants in the name of hostel charges, medical charges, etc. will be paid.
