Review on IGNOU (Indira Gandhi National Open University)

Overall: This is an open university with it's study centers in any colleges and one regional center in every state. From my personal experience- the courses in IGNOU are competitive and helpful, and it is at par with syllabus of any other university. The methods of assignments and checking, however, varies from one study center to another. Try adhering yourself to the rules and you may find yourself in suitable positions. Overall a good experience for an open university. All the best to anyone who wishes to pursue any degree here.

Placement: Since I pursued a course which doesn't have definitive placements, I ain't of much help for this topic. However, I've heard that IGNOU has good placement schemes, so keep on trying. Good luck!

Infrastructure: The only infrastructures you could possibly refer to are the study centers and the regional centers. They are okay- the only suggestion is to make them more hygienic.

Faculty: The only faculty I came across are the exam invigilators who were also responsible for assignment submissions. They were nice people, however most of the time phone calls for help went unanswered both by the study centers as well as regional centers. Would be nice if they fix this issue.

Hostel: IGNOU is an open university, and therefore there are no hostels. You choose a study center that is convenient to travel from where you live/reside. You would get a lot of choices, so choose according to your convenience.

T
It's a very good University for Distance education

Overall: For me "Indira Gandhi National Open University" is the best university for distance learning education. Those who can not go to the University or College regularly,I think this is one of the best university for them to compelete their study or degree.

Placement: When you complete your degree from this university then after that you can apply for the job any where according to the requirement. While during study you can also get scholarship from this university if you will apply for that and if you are eligible for that scholarship. After you completed your dgree with 90 percent marks then also you will get Gold medal along with cash prize. And as we know IGNOU is a fully recognized Central Govt. University and also recognized by UGC so,the cirtificate of your degree has its own value and you can show the cortificate in your interview aslo and it will help you.Thank you.

Infrastructure: For me the infrastructure of the Indira Gandhi National Open University is quite good but I can not say that it is the best. Because I literally visiting this University only twice to submitting my assignment papers. But the vibe is good there.

Faculty: Faculties of this University is good. They provide us classes dates and schidules so ,you can go for the classes at that time. They also helps us with their guidelines during our assignments paper submission and also Final exams.Sometime I am little bit upset with their managements because they sometimes did not pick up the phone calls when we needed the most.Because of the distance education sometime we face lot of problems then we need their guidelines and suggestion. But most of the time they did not response. But besides all these things their faculties are good enough. Thank you

Hostel: Indira Gandhi National Open University has its own hotels for girls and boys. The hostels are located in the campus.Aslo Wifi facilities are there in the hostels. Also you can feel safe and secure here. But the spaces of the rooms are not so good here. But I suggest you that if you can afford a PG near the university then you can go for that.
