Overall: I took admission in IGNOU for Study BCA. Experience was not so bad. Class was only for Sunday but for practicals they scheduled on weekdays. But faculty was ok.

Placement: IGNOU provide less chance for placement but they help students for placements by conducting college placement. And they depends on students skills who select or not.

Infrastructure: As I was a student of IGNOU. The infrastructure of IGNOU is bad. The service they was providing to students was not on time. All the Members of RCs was lazy to the work.

Faculty: As I know, i already shared my opinion on this that was faculty members of IGNOU Regional Centre was so dis-responsible for there work. They not provide correct information on time.

Hostel: IGNOU not provide any kind of hostel facility because they are open learning institute. They provide online class for the students who not able to join the physical classes.

Overall: College is alright but if you are looking for a more social college like making friends and overall more social then I would not recommend this college. But yeah if you just want a degree then you can join.

Placement: See open colleges are new at receiving respect and value in the education system. So yeah facts says that open colleges degree is as valuable as other colleges but it definitely isn't the full truth. So placement is really low despite these facts .

Infrastructure: See IGNOU is an open university so it is affiliated to different colleges around the country so infrastructure would not be from IGNOU's side but the college it's affiliated to so yeah the infrastructure may vary place to place.

Faculty: Teachers and other faculty staff are the same as other colleges. Everything happens in a manner and under an administration. But teachers on the contrary may misbehave time to time as they are payed less compared to other college teachers.

Hostel: As I have opted for ODL(Online Distant Learning) I have no idea of the hostel. This the flexibility IGNOU provides, don't want to come to college ok don't come.

Overall: It is a nice college. All the faculty members are good and nice. All of them are very cooperative. The environment is also good and the students can get a bright future.

Infrastructure: Honestly, the environment could be better than it is. The buildings are old and not good. I personally didn't liked the infrastructure of the college and it colud be better.

Faculty: Good faculty members. They have adequate knowledge over their subjects and they are really very helpful in nature. They do teach in a very nice way and make you understand everything properly.

Hostel: No any hostel facility has been provided by the university or college. You have to reside in your own residence or a pg or a flat that you can rent. This is really bad about it.

Overall: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) offers a diverse range of distance education programs, catering to a wide array of academic interests and career goals. With its flexible learning approach, IGNOU has made higher education accessible to a broad demographic, including working professionals, stay-at-home parents, and individuals unable to attend traditional brick-and-mortar institutions. One of the key strengths of IGNOU is its extensive course offerings, covering disciplines such as arts, science, commerce, management, and more. The university's commitment to providing quality education through well-designed study materials, online resources, and support services is commendable. However, some students may find challenges with the lack of face-to-face interaction with instructors and peers, which can impact their learning experience. Additionally, administrative issues such as delays in examination schedules or result declarations have been reported by some students. Overall, IGNOU serves as a valuable platform for individuals seeking to pursue higher education while balancing other commitments. Its affordability, flexibility, and wide range of programs make it a popular choice among distance learners in India. However, improvements in administrative efficiency and increased opportunities for interaction could further enhance the overall experience for students.

Placement: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) is a prominent institution offering distance education programs across various disciplines. While IGNOU provides quality education and equips students with valuable skills, its approach towards placement assistance varies from traditional universities. IGNOU doesn't have a centralized placement cell like conventional universities. Instead, it facilitates placement through its regional centers and study centers. These centers often collaborate with local industries, organizations, and placement agencies to inform students about job opportunities. Additionally, IGNOU organizes job fairs, career counseling sessions, and workshops to enhance students' employability. It also maintains a database of vacancies and notifies students through its website and regional centers. However, the placement scenario at IGNOU can be challenging for some students due to factors such as the absence of campus recruitment drives and the need for students to actively seek out opportunities themselves. Networking, building professional connections, and gaining practical experience through internships become crucial for IGNOU students to secure employment. Despite these challenges, IGNOU alumni have found success in various sectors globally, showcasing the effectiveness of the education and skills imparted by the university. Therefore, while IGNOU may not offer the same structured placement support as traditional universities, its emphasis on self-reliance and skill development equips students for the competitive job market.

Infrastructure: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) boasts a vast and comprehensive infrastructure tailored to support its unique distance learning model. Spread across the country, IGNOU's infrastructure encompasses regional centers, study centers, and examination centers, ensuring accessibility to students from diverse geographical locations. At the heart of IGNOU's infrastructure are its regional centers, strategically located across India. These centers serve as administrative hubs, facilitating coordination between the university and its study centers. They also offer student support services, including counseling, library facilities, and administrative assistance. Study centers, the backbone of IGNOU's decentralized learning approach, are situated in various cities and towns. These centers provide students with face-to-face interaction, academic guidance, and access to study materials. Equipped with libraries, computer labs, and multimedia resources, study centers create conducive environments for learning and collaboration. Additionally, IGNOU's infrastructure includes examination centers where students sit for their term-end and entrance examinations. These centers are spread across the country to accommodate the university's widespread student base, ensuring convenience and accessibility. Overall, IGNOU's robust infrastructure plays a pivotal role in delivering quality education to learners, regardless of their location or background, making higher education more accessible and inclusive in India.

Faculty: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) boasts a diverse and accomplished faculty, comprising experts from various fields who bring rich academic and professional backgrounds to the institution. With a commitment to excellence in teaching, research, and service, IGNOU faculty members play a pivotal role in delivering quality education and fostering a conducive learning environment for students across disciplines. The faculty members at IGNOU are known for their dedication to student success, offering guidance and support to learners pursuing undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programs through the university's open and distance learning mode. They employ innovative teaching methodologies, leveraging technology and interactive platforms to engage students and enhance their learning experience. Moreover, IGNOU faculty actively contribute to research and scholarly activities, publishing papers, books, and articles that contribute to the advancement of knowledge in their respective fields. Their expertise also extends to program development, curriculum design, and academic administration, ensuring that IGNOU's offerings remain relevant and responsive to the evolving needs of learners and society. Through their mentorship, expertise, and scholarly contributions, IGNOU faculty members inspire students to excel academically, pursue lifelong learning, and make meaningful contributions to their professions and communities. They embody the university's ethos of inclusivity, accessibility, and excellence, making them integral to IGNOU's mission of providing quality education to all, irrespective of barriers.

Hostel: Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) does not operate its own hostels directly. However, it has tie-ups with various private hostels and accommodations near its study centers across India. These accommodations provide lodging facilities to IGNOU students at affordable rates. IGNOU students seeking accommodation can contact the regional centers or study centers nearest to them for assistance in finding suitable hostel facilities. The availability of hostels may vary depending on the location and capacity of each study center. Staying in a hostel near an IGNOU study center can be advantageous for students as it provides a conducive environment for studying and allows for easy access to educational resources and support services. Students are advised to inquire about hostel facilities well in advance, especially during admission or before the commencement of a new academic session, to secure accommodation according to their preferences and requirements. Overall, while IGNOU does not have its own hostels, it facilitates arrangements with private accommodations to cater to the residential needs of its students, ensuring a comfortable and convenient learning experience.

Dear student,

IGNOU stands for the Indira Gandhi National Open University. It was set up in 1985 and is one of the largest central distance-learning universities in India. The university offers distance education and works on the Online Distance Learning (ODL) model in a variety of streams like arts, commerce, education, computers, etc. The IGNOU admission process is based on merit for most of the courses. However, for some courses like B.Ed and MBA, the university conducts its own entrance test. The teaching-learning process at IGNOU is flexible and students can cover the syllabus on their own suitable time slots.

The university provides study materials to the students through multiple channels. The material can be sent by post, uploaded on the E-Content App of the university, as well as through Gyan Darshan channels and radio counselling through Gyan Vani/FM radio stations. Once students receive the material, the material is enough to prepare for exams, as per various student reviews. IGNOU also has various Academic Counsellors who resolve student queries from time to time. Moreover, the admission process is held twice a year at the university.
