Aspirants who are seeking admission in KCT programs have to fill the application form online and have to pay the application fee of Rs. 500/-. The B.E/B. Tech program admits candidates through TNEA counselling while for admission to the M.E/M. Tech, MCA, MBA programs, the candidates have to clear the TANCET exam with valid scores.

The interested candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria for admission to the B.E/B.Tech course at KCT.
All the eligible candidates have to appear for the TNEA counselling conducted by DTE, Tamil Nadu based on the merit obtained in class 12th. The admission procedure is completely online. Before the commencement of counselling, Anna University publishes a merit list of the candidates who are eligible for B.Tech admission.

Candidates need to submit the required documents enclosed with the application form such as 10th and 12th mark sheets, transfer certificate, permanent community certificate, valid ID proof, passport size photographs, and photo should have a white coloured background.
The candidates are selected based on their merit in the 12th standard.
Candidates who are seeking admission in M.E/M. Tech should have passed B.E/B. Tech degree or master’s degree in a relevant branch of science with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category). For admission to the MCA program, the candidate must have passed a bachelor’s degree of three-year duration with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) and mathematics as a compulsory subject.
For admission to the MBA program, the candidate should have cleared a bachelor’s degree in any stream from any recognized university with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category).
Before applying for the PG courses offered by KCT, the candidates have to appear for the TANCET/GATE exam. To apply for TANCET exam, the candidate has to visit the official website of Anna University and fill the application form with the requisite information. The application process will be complete after the payment of an application fee which is Rs. 500 for General and Rs. 250 for SC/ST category. Please note that the candidates who have already qualified in the GATE exam need not appear for the TANCET exam for admission to the M.Tech course.
The qualified candidates can apply for admission through a centralized counselling process conducted by Anna University. After logging in on the website, the candidates have to register and fill the application form with the required details. The candidates are advised to cross-check all the details before submission of an online application form. Once the form is submitted, the candidates have to do the choice filling online and report to the designated centre for verification of documents. Simultaneously, the candidate has to pay the counselling/university registration fee. Lastly, seat allotment is done by the authority and the applicants who got the seat as per their preference can report to the allotted college.
