KCT PG admissions usually start in April every year and the course commencement in July every year. Aspirants who are seeking admission in KCT programs have to fill the application form online and have to pay the application fee of Rs. 500/-. The interested candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria for admission to the B.E/B.Tech course at KCT.

• The candidates should have passed 12th standard with 50% marks from a recognized university with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as the compulsory subjects. The candidates belonging to SC/ST category have a relaxation of 10% in the aggregate marks.

All the eligible candidates have to appear for the TNEA counselling conducted by DTE, Tamil Nadu based on the merit obtained in class 12th. The admission procedure is completely online. Before the commencement of counselling, Anna University publishes a merit list of the candidates who are eligible for B.Tech admission.

The eligible candidates can check the counselling process below:

• First, the candidates have to register on the TNEA website using his/her email id, password, and other required details.
• After registration, the candidates have to pay the TNEA application fee of Rs. 500(General category) and Rs. 250 for SC/ST category.
• Once the fee is paid by the candidate, an application form is to be filled with personal details, academic details, and other necessary information. The candidates need to verify all the details before submitting the application.
• A random number will be generated after submission of an online application form which will be required during the verification of documents.
• The candidates have to visit the nearest facilitation centre for the verification of documents which will begin after the candidate’s registration with their names and random numbers.
• After a few days, a merit list will be declared by the TNEA authority. The candidates whose names are available in the merit list are allowed to take part in the choice entry/option entry process.
• The shortlisted candidates have to visit the TNEA website to fill the option entry form. The candidates are advised to fill the maximum number of choices to increase the chances of admission. After confirming the option entry form, the candidates cannot edit the options chosen.
• Within a few days, the seat allotment results are declared on TNEA website.  The candidates who are satisfied with the seat allotment can take the print out of the seat allotment letter and report to the allotted college while the candidates who are not satisfied can decline the seat and can take part in the subsequent rounds of counselling.

Tech degree or master’s degree in a relevant branch of science with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category). For admission to the MCA program, the candidate must have passed a bachelor’s degree of three-year duration with 50% marks (45% for SC/ST) and mathematics as a compulsory subject.

For admission to the MBA program, the candidate should have cleared a bachelor’s degree in any stream from any recognized university with minimum 50% marks (45% for reserved category).

Please note that the candidates who have already qualified in the GATE exam need not appear for the TANCET exam for admission to the M.Tech course.

The qualified candidates can apply for admission through a centralized counselling process conducted by Anna University. After logging in on the website, the candidates have to register and fill the application form with the required details.  The candidates are advised to cross-check all the details before submission of an online application form. Once the form is submitted, the candidates have to do the choice filling online and report to the designated centre for verification of documents. Simultaneously, the candidate has to pay the counselling/university registration fee.
