NIE Mysore admission 2024 to BE will start with KCET counselling which will start once the KCET results are announced on May 20, 2024. KCET 2024 provisional answer key has been released by KEA on April 29, 2024. The last date to raise objections against the answer key is May 7, 2024. KCET 2024 final answer key will be released on May 10 (tentatively).
Various UG, PG, and doctorate programmes are available for admission at the National Institute of Engineering Mysore. The merit of the entrance exam is used to determine who gets admitted to NIE Mysore. Candidates must confirm that they meet the prerequisite eligibility requirements before getting admission to NIE Mysore. All interested candidates must meet the NIE Mysore admission criteria before filling out the application form. Admission to B.E programmes at NIE Mysore is based on results from the COMEDK UGET or KCET, then there is a counselling process. NIE Mysore offers admission to its M.Tech. and MCA programmes through the Karnataka PGCET entrance test, which is administered by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). They must also take part in the counselling session. Candidates must apply for the PhD programmes via the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi website and take the written exam (VTU-ETR), which is followed by an interview.
MIE Mysore admits students to a number of B.E programmes. The B.E programmes are available in a variety of specialisations, including industrial and production engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, and electronic and communication engineering. The B.E curriculum lasts four years from start to finish. Candidates for NIE Mysore B.E admission must have completed 10+2 with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 50%.
The CET is a written exam with 180 questions that cover every topic important for the engineering discipline.

A variety of postgraduate programmes, including M.Tech and MCA, NIE Mysore PG admissions are offered to interested candidates. The candidates must fulfil the NIE Mysore eligibility criteria for admissions. Computer networking, mechanical engineering - design and manufacturing, nanotechnology engineering, automation and robotics, computer applications, hydraulics engineering, information technology, power engineering, structural engineering, and production engineering are the specialisations under which the M.Tech degree is offered. M.Tech programmes last two years, while MCA programmes last three years. The MCA has a 60-seat capacity.

NIE Mysore admission is available to numerous PhD programmes on the basis of entrance exams. Chemistry, civil engineering, computer science and engineering, electrical and electronics engineering, electronics and communication engineering, industrial and production engineering, mathematics, mechanical engineering, and physics are among the specialisations in which PhD programmes are offered. The PhD programme lasts for six years. Candidates must have earned a master's degree from an accredited university with a minimum of 55% overall or equivalent in order to be eligible for NIE Mysore admission to the PhD programme.

Option-1: A candidate with valid GATE score.
Option-2: For full time M.Tech : A candidate who has passed prescribed qualifying examination or equivalent examination and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks in B.E. taken together in all the subjects for all the years in eligible for admission to M.Tech Programme. 45% of marks in case of SC,ST and Category-I candidates.
Admission to M.Tech Programme is through Karnataka PGCET conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority(KEA) only.
Management Quota seats are also available in some disciplines.
Provided further that the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility shall be forty percent (40%) of aggregate in optional subjects in case of candidates belonging to the Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and other Backward Classes specified in the relevant Government order for the purpose of reservation in respect of Engineering and Technology courses.
A candidate who has passed any Under graduate examination of minimum of 3 years or equivalent examination with Mathematics or Statistics or Computer Science or Computer Applications or Business Mathematics or Business Statistics as one of the optional subjects and obtained an aggregate minimum of 50% marks taken together in all the subjects for all the years is eligible for admission to MCA programme. 45% marks in qualifying examinations in case of SC,ST and Category-I candidates.
Provided that in respect of candidate who has studied and passed one of the subjects specified above in Pre-Univesity Programmes with fifty percent of marks in that subject shall also be considered for admission.
