The Alpha College of Engineering offers UG and PG courses in the area of engineering stream and management.UG courses offered at the college are divided into eight semesters and over the duration of four academic years while PG courses are divided into four semesters an over duration of two academic years. Alpha College of Engineering, Chennai BE/ B.Tech Eligibility Criteria 2024

Following are the minimum eligibility criteria for admission in BE/ B.Tech courses offered at Alpha College of Engineering:

The candidate must have passed Class 12th from a recognised board.

He/She must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class 12th.

Minimum percentage in the qualifying examination should be 50%.

Admission in BE/ B.Tech courses offered at the Alpha College of Engineering is considered on the basis of examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu state Government and through counselling (TNEA) conducted by Anna University, Chennai. 

Once the examination is conducted successfully, the merit list is released. It is prepared by combining marks obtained in Class XII and performance in the entrance test. Seat matrix is released which defines the number of seats available in different colleges from various branches. 

Few seats of BE/ B.Tech courses offered at the Alpha College of Engineering are also reserved for direct admission. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for direct admission and apply for the same before the deadline. 

Following are the minimum eligibility criteria for admission in ME courses offered at Alpha College of Engineering:

• The candidate must have passed hold an engineering degree in relevant discipline 

• He/She must have studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in Class 12th.

• Minimum percentage in the qualifying examination should be 50%

Admission in ME course is considered on the basis of  PGCET entrance examination/ GATE/ PG entrance examination of other states. 

Candidates who have a valid score card of any of the above-mentioned entrance tests and have scored at least 50% marks in aggregate can apply for ME course at  Alpha College of Engineering. 

Few seats for ME courses are also reserved for direct admission at Alpha College of Engineering. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for direct admission and apply for the same before the deadline.

Following are the minimum eligibility criteria for admission in MBA courses offered at Alpha College of Engineering:

• The candidate must have completed graduation in Engineering or Arts stream.

• Minimum percentage in the qualifying examination should be 50%.

Admission in MBA courses offered at the Alpha College of Engineering is considered on the basis of national/ state level management entrance examinations like CAT, MAT, CMAT etc. 

Candidates must appear in the entrance and appear in counselling rounds to get admission in the MBA course offered at Alpha College of Engineering. 

Few seats of  MBA courses offered at the Alpha College of Engineering are also reserved for direct admission. Candidates must meet the eligibility criteria for direct admission and apply for it.
