Amrita School of Engineering is an integral part of Amrita Vidyapeeth established in 2002. The university first established a branch in 1994 and then the campus of Karunagapally came into existence. The college was established to promote knowledge development in thematic research areas that have a positive impact on society, both nationally and globally. ASE aims to contribute to the quality enhancement of the local and global education ecosystem.
Amrita School of Engineering is accredited with the highest rating of 'A' by NAAC, the National Accreditation and Assessment Council of India. ASE, Karunagapally is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). At present, it offers a bachelor's and master's program in engineering and computer applications.
The syllabus is industry- and research-oriented and the course curriculum follows a credit-based system. Amrita School of Engineering organises national and international conferences, seminars, workshops, colloquia, contests, training programs at the campus to promote students' engagement in cultural activities. The college aims to prepare its graduates with a solution-mindset and with a high degree of ethical standards. Many recruiters from both India and abroad participate in the campus placements.
The campus of ASE, Karunagapally has an excellent infrastructure which includes facilities such as Library, Laboratories, and indoor and outdoor sports facilities.
