The college has a 24 hour high tension power supply from TNEB. A separate power house, with two generators of 125KVA and 250KVA capacities is commissioned to provide power supply to the entire campus in the event of power failure.

Hostel for men and women is located inside the campus encompasses with modern facilities provide a conducive environment for the inmates of the A.V.C. College of Engineering. The prerequisite of the students are met out by having joint consultation of authorities. Our inmates are trained physically and mentally through Gym and Yoga.

Fine arts club shows the artistic work of students. This club provides a broader view of art to the students to show their innovation and creativity. Students participate in the various activities organized by the club and show their art.

• This club provides lot of training programmes to the betterment of students.
• International and National level Yoga training programmes were organized.
• This club provides regular training to the staff members as well as students weekly 3 days basis.
• This club organized several medical programmes related to yoga for the betterment of First year students, PG girls and lady staff members.

Red Ribbon Club (RRC) Programme is a voluntary on-campus intervention, aimed at heightening the risk perception and preventing HIV among youth. Red Ribbon Clubs have become a powerful medium to reach out to young people. Spearheaded by the TamilNadu state AIDS Control Society (TANSACS), this programme is supported by the Higher Education Department with technical assistance from Centers for Disease Control and demonstrating the importance of inter-sector collaboration to address the issue of HIV / AIDS. It empower students in the age group of 17-25, by giving them information and life-skills to protect themselves from HIV/AIDS and changing the most active among them into peer educator.

As a part of Indian Red Cross, We have a unit of Youth Red Cross members. The members are involved in several service activities like, conducting medical awareness camps in rural area in and around our location. Blood donation, helping the traffic police in controlling the traffic in the town, conference on self employment etc. The members are also allowed to attend conference at various places of our country.

The objective of this scheme is ‘development of personality of students through community service’. This enables the students to

• Understand the community in which they work.
• Develop among themselves a sense of social and civil responsibility.
• Apply their education in finding practical solutions to individual & community problems.
• Acquire leadership qualities and democratic attitude.

The organization established 3 NSS units under the leadership of NSS officers and active participation of 300 NSS volunteers.

EDC started in our college February 2013 and the main purpose of the cell is to develop individuals across socio economic backgrounds with the courage to dream, the drive to make a difference, the ability in themselves and the perseverance to convert their thoughts into action. The cell plans to prepare a pool of next generation entrepreneurs to the economic and social development of our mother nation.

Prosperity of a nation and society is measured by the entrepreneurial spirit of its people. All the time, entrepreneurship is an essential constituent of industrialization and economic development. Entrepreneurs are anticipated to play vital role in the process of expansion by introducing innovations and demonstrating leadership qualities in the dynamic situation. Entrepreneurship has been found as a low coat and long term strategy for ensuring supply of right kind of entrepreneurs in the economic to maintain the growth pulse. Educating and training people for developing industrial capabilities through positive training involvement will be the core strategy of the Entrepreneurship Development Cell.
